Summary: is a good camera for the price, but with some drawbacks, as it still uses batteries, not lithium battery, the screen does not rotate and you can not remove the sound it makes when navigating in the menu
Summary: I bought it cause my kids wanted a video camera to play with and make videos. Rechargeable batteries are must if your going to buy this. The picture is good and the kids love playing with it. I could not see taking it on a vacation though. Overall it just depends on what you want it for. For my reasons I was satisfied.
Summary: This was my first and last VIVITAR product. I understand that you sometimes have issues with electronics. I can't fully rate the product yet because I can't seem to get my issues resolved. Their tech support is the WORST I've ever experienced. Customer support to me makes just as big a difference as to whether or not I will buy other products from that manufacturer or not.
Summary: Be forewarned, you will not get quality video from this Vivitar DVR910 video camera. I bought this from another store (not Amazon) based on decent reviews on Amazon, as well as B&H Video. I was disappointed with the product and surprised by the good reviews it did receive. The processor is slow or something so the video appears jumpy when you pan (even slowly). I mounted it on a heavy tripod to help keep it steady while moving around, but the results were unappealing.
Summary: Got one for Christmas last year. The .AVI files would not load to video software. Always got error. After a while of not using it, when I tried again, it would not turn on. Got a replacement. New replacement always goes to startup every time I turn the camera on. Cannot turn sound off (although it did turn off the first time I used it). The software that comes with it is disappointing. I wouldn't spend money on this item.
Summary: I purchased this item, had to return it from not working properly. Got another one and it was worse than the first one. So ended returning both and baught a sony for alittle more money instead and it was a 100 times better.
Summary: I don't have this exact model, mine is the 925HD. It's surprisingly a pretty good camera for the money. I've been really impressed with the camera's performance at concerts. I've had Sony Handycams before and they blew out on live sound. This cheap little camera can stand up to live music as good as a JVC. It's also not bad in the dark and records concerts quite well.
Summary: Ok...I wanted to write this while it's still fresh....I may do a video review of it later. Anyways, this first thing to remember about this camcorder is that it's -$70-, give or take sales or buying used...mine was only $50 NIB. Let's be perfectly crystal clear on this; if you want the $400 Sony Handycam, then BUY the $400 Sony Handycam!!!!! If your last name happens to be Spielberg or Lucas...what the devil are you doing looking at this thing?? Go buy the Canon XL!
Summary: So you should not expect a nicely loaded camera, it does the job for us. We have a one year old granddaughter and it takes pictures of her doing things well. Have not tried other then indoor shots of granddaughter.
