Summary: This was a gift for my sister-in-law who teaches special ed. They do a lot of fun and creative things in her class and she wanted something to capture memories. Since I am not using it all I can say is it arrived promptly and looks great!
Summary: This little guy has more than met my expectation. Honestly, I didn't think it would be very good, but I only wanted it for personal use, so I didn't want to splurge. But it's been working suprisingly well for me. I don't use it a ton, but every time I need it, it does its job. The battery life is pretty impressive, too. I think it's more than what I paid for, but I'm not complaining.
Summary: Graphics and picture quality is dreadful. Broke software cd when opening package awaiting cd since wk received camera still No cd. The customer service for vivitar wasawful too. Call 3 times still no replacement cd. Do yourself a favor dont but this crap camera!
Summary: I like the camera so far. I received it today in the mail and so far so good. The only bad thing is the lighting in the dark but thats not too much of a problem. I only paid $30 for it off ebay and I think it is perfect for recording things :) I say its a go if you can't afford a flip video like I cant!
Summary: I owned a Vivitar camera many years ago. This before the digital explosion of current days. This Vivitar camera was so simple, useful and inexpensive. This prompted me to purchase the Vivitar DVR-865HD Camcorder. This Camcorder is certainly cost effective selling for under $125. The camcorder is user friendly with simple and precise control buttons. The 8X Digital Zoom was a nice suprise. This product really zooms in quite well.
Summary: Vivitar DVR865HD 8.1MP Camcorder with 8x Digital Zoom (Black) This little camera takes terrible quality videos so that the playback on a computer is pixalized (And it really does not look good if you want to add a video to youtube). The zoom is bad. The layout is really bad- I found it very hard to navigate around the menu's, Not only was it slow but it was confusing. You have to buy a big memory card too or it can't store much video.
Summary: If I were to compare and rate it accordingly, this camera would get only 2 stars. Just based on my experience with this camera alone it rates good which is surprising considering the other cameras I have. The 8MP and HD video look pretty decent. The battery life is excellent. Holding this style of camera takes a little getting used to & is awkward when taking stills.
Summary: I bought this camera at radio shack on black Friday for $79 so I wasn't expecting a whole lot and that is what I got. It takes pretty crappy video especially indoors. very grainy and bad quality. I would rather spend twice as much which is still not very much cash and get a flip. My wife just bought a flip ultra hd and it is much much better but doesn't really have much of a zoom function but the video quality is very very good compared to the Vivitar POS.
Summary: This camera is probably the best you'll get for a hundred bucks. It shoots in full HD (1280x720) and has 20 FPS or 60 HZ AT THE MAXIMUM! You could look up test videos online at youtube of the quality and you will be surprised. I prefer getting the bundle with the 4 gigabyte memory card because my 2 gigabyte memory card only runs thirty minutes.
