Decent video camera until it died

Michael Buland, Amazon
7 January 2011
  • Summary: This camera has pretty good features for the price. I haven't had any problems with the audio or video formats. The video format is actually XVID, which is an open-source implementation of mpeg4 video, any system can play the video with the right codecs, and more and more hardware players can play it no problem, including my dvd player (right off the camera via usb) or my HD WD Live. The big problem is that the company that made this camera no longer exists.

good brand name, bad sound, bad format, bad sound, no sound, bad

Rough Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: This looks like a nice video camera. Don't judge a book by the cover. I have made several movies with this camera and none of the sound came out even loud enough to hear when the movie is played back, to top it off, the movie format it produces movies in is AVI format, and microsoft media will not even play it. you have to go thru a video format transformer to get a video clip to be playable on your new windows player. The sound is the big killer...

  • Summary: I really like this camera/camcorder. Great resolution, Good Price, Easy to use. The only shortcoming of this camera is the LED flash. Its a little weak and only works well when in close proximity to the subject.
