Summary: I bought this camera after researching paintball forums, since my primary use for it is to wear during paintball games. I got it in October 19th (the day after I ordered it), and took it out this past weekend. I gotta say, this is a great little camera! Fastened it to my mask and the mount didn't move all day. The only thing with the goggle strap mount is it doesn't sit flush in the mount, so it wiggled a bit.
Summary: I use this camera mounted on my kayak helmet. Great quality video with easy to use on/off and record switches even when installed in a waterproof housing. I do not like the 15 minute inactivity auto shutdown. We sometime paddle more than 15 minutes of flatwater before I am ready to turn on the record switcvh for the next rapid.
Awesome value. The camera has its flaws, but at $137.99, you get more than what you pay for.

Summary: Summary: If you want the best video quality, get either a Contour+ ($499, the newest and greatest) or a GoPro HD Hero ($239+++, starting to show its age). Otherwise, nothing comes close to the ContourHD+waterproof casing at $170. You get way more than what you pay for, which is great! Rest of the review: While the Contour HD does not have the latest technology or the clearest image, what you get is still pretty decent video image quality.
Summary: Purchased from Amazon and the item arrived as scheduled. Every thing was included that was suppose to be. However, the camera was a Dead on Arrival(DOA), and I had to send it back to the manufactor for a ops check to confirm status. They were very helpfull, and sent a new replacement at no cost and the new one works great. I love it!
Summary: I purchased this so I could record in game footage while playing paintball. I got to use it this weekend for the first time. While I was pretty terrible, the camera worked great. Picture quality was awesome as was the sound. Ease of use was excellent. Cannot wait to go again, and I hope to use the camera for some upcoming adventure races as well.
Summary: Purchased the ContourHD camera in June 2011. I have used it several times and it has worked great. Very easy to use and to transfer the video. I also bought the waterproof case and the bicycle mount. The bicycle mount worked very well on my Specialized Epic and the video was very clear. The only problem I have had was with the underwater housing. The record switch that is magnetic would not work.
Summary: Length:: 0:29 Mins I bought this camera to use for safety purposes as a bike commuter. This camera is stealth enough to look like a helmet light and not attract any attention. 2 days after I got it, I was commuting home and captured a car blowing through a red light and t-boning a cyclist. The cyclist had very quick reflexes and was able to push off the hood of the car, land on his feet and escape injuries. There was some damage to his bike however.
Summary: I bought this camera to record skiing. It fills the bill perfectly, as other reviews have described. I was even able to view the videos on my Linux machine. The one small thing to watch out for is that the large record switch must be slid all the way forward for recording to begin. If you reach up with gloves on and just slide it most of the way, you won't be recording. It needs to "click in" at the very end of its travel.
Summary: I wanted to get a helmet cam for snowboarding and mountain biking. I was looking at the GoPro and Countour HD. Both produce excellent picture quality but I'm also looking for design, size, weight, and "ruggedness" if that is a word... The ContourHD had it all. I like the fact that it has two lasers to help point and level the camera. The goggle strap design was excellent and worked well. Here's one of the videos (without editing) I shot snowboarding a few days ago.
Summary: I was surprised at how lite the ContourHD 1080p was and how easy it was to operate. The directioning lasers help you see where the camera is pointing. I shot a few test videos in all the setting the camera has to offer from the highest resolution to the poorest/lowest settings and they all produced a great picture video, it was snowing and the temp was -7degs out when I did the test shots.
