Summary: I purchased this camera in August of 2011 because it was on sale. I am just now getting around to using it and the camera keeps freezing/locking up. I have read other reviews after purchasing this camera that it is picky on the card you use. I have tried three different memory cards not including the 2GB that came with the camera. It takes customer support several days to respond to e-mails and they give the same run around. Try this, this, and this....
Summary: I bought this for diving and surfing. We shot this on our dive trip to Indonesia. All the shots were off center so none of it was useful. The laser guide was suppose help center but it did not coincide with what we saw later on our computer. Luckily, I had some pics from my underwater camera but no video. Contacted dealer and she would not take it back to fix the problem. I was two days past the 30 day return for Amazon. Amazon would not take it back.
Summary: This is not the best sports video camera on the market, but it is the best value. No other camera gives you the same video quality for under $120. If you want more features, you have lots of other choices from Contour and other brands. If you just want to create fun videos, stick with this one. It has all the features that I need.
Summary: I bought this camera after researching paintball forums, since my primary use for it is to wear during paintball games. I got it in October 19th (the day after I ordered it), and took it out this past weekend. I gotta say, this is a great little camera! Fastened it to my mask and the mount didn't move all day. The only thing with the goggle strap mount is it doesn't sit flush in the mount, so it wiggled a bit.
Summary: As everyone else, I was looking between this and the GoPro. I recently got into obstacle races like Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder, and I wanted something to remember the races with. I use the ContourHD, headband strap, and a thin bandana or headband so it doesn't rub on my head. In my last race, I didn't even notice it while running and going over obstacles. The lasers are great for making sure your camera is pointing in the right direction. Pros: Sleek design.
Summary: 1. great video quality 2. once you get over a speed of 30mph the camera has to much wind noise(some was expected i had to tape the speaker to dull the wind noise) 3. the interface seems difficult at first and confused me for the first hour 4. sturdy design iv droped this on the ground hundreds of times already and the thing still works and looks fine 5.
Summary: I use this camera mounted on my kayak helmet. Great quality video with easy to use on/off and record switches even when installed in a waterproof housing. I do not like the 15 minute inactivity auto shutdown. We sometime paddle more than 15 minutes of flatwater before I am ready to turn on the record switcvh for the next rapid.
Awesome value. The camera has its flaws, but at $137.99, you get more than what you pay for.

Summary: Summary: If you want the best video quality, get either a Contour+ ($499, the newest and greatest) or a GoPro HD Hero ($239+++, starting to show its age). Otherwise, nothing comes close to the ContourHD+waterproof casing at $170. You get way more than what you pay for, which is great! Rest of the review: While the Contour HD does not have the latest technology or the clearest image, what you get is still pretty decent video image quality.
Summary: As if biking in a city wasn't awesome enough, this camera triples the awesomeness! I finally got the chance to properly test this with the contour bike mount the other day, and the picture quality is really good! I recommend you check out gaz545 channel on YouTube for some really good examples of bike videos. His videos are actually what prompted me to purchase this item. DESIGN/DURABILITY: The design is nice. Sleek but unassuming, about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
