Summary: With this purchase, I was looking for 1080p first, and maybe 3D later. After seeing this (and its very reasonable price), I had to seal the deal. The 1080p quality with this camera is very good for the price. It doesn't compare to video from a Blu ray movie, but the price doesn't compare also. And if you're still fine with 720p (which, on this camera, looks pretty close to 1080p), you can shoot in 60 frames per second. And trust me, 60fps makes a HUGE difference.
Summary: This a a light little camcorder that works well, with a very light setup too (surely less complicated for some). I bought it to get 3D video and tested to see on my 3D TV. 2 reasons make me dont like the product: 1) The camcorder can display 3D scene on his little screen but with strong light on the beach, i didn't SEE ANYTHING specially with this 3D SCREEN (it's better they do a normal screen). It was a very bad video taken as a blind, i can't see what I want to film.
Summary: Very Excellent Lightweight Very good size in hand Built-in 3D screen view without glasses very beautiful design Very good price But there is 2 problems 1st: the zoom is not good 2nd: Battery is short life
Summary: The camcorder is intuitive to use, with very few buttons to press, and a touch screen for more settings. The 3D created by the camera is saved as a Side by Side L image first MP4 in 1920x1080. With this camera and a copy of CyberLink's PowerDirector 11, I find it extremely simple to shoot video and then add 3D effects and titles afterwords. That's a fully realized 3D movie creation package for well under $500!
Summary: Decent, though off-beat. With subject well-lit the image looks good, although 3D is a fickle proposal: the subject needs to be very close and centered. As in professional productions, large crowds and fast scenes do not work well with 3D, and the old-school, intimate frame is best. Having said that, this camera is atrocious in poorly-lit situations, where the resolution seems to dip BELOW VHS quality.
Summary: This camera is easy to use and had decent picture quality. I'm not crazy about the touch screen menu, because I don't like having to wipe down the screen every time I need to change a menu setting. It records side by side on a single HD frame, so you lose a little resolution, but it makes it easy to instantly view what you're shooting on any 3D TV that has an HDMI input.
Summary: To start playing with 3D this is a good camera. comes with a lot of options. Shoots in 2D also. For 3D playing it back you have to have the right set up. If you want something to come out of the screen look, dont get the object to close to the lens on the camera. Still fun to play with and shoots great outside or ver and I mean very well lighted indoors.
Summary: I have never returned anything I have bought on Amazon.com in the past. But this product was so horrendous that I had to return it and get my money back. I took this camera to Wondercon and every single thing I captured on this camera came out blurry. It doesn't work well in low-light and even in good lighting, you have to have a tripod or keep your hand very still when taking pictures. Video is just as bad - my videos from Wondercon are unwatchable.
Summary: Good camera for its price. Need optical zoom. The videos in FullHD look great. The battery lasts long enough but it's good to have another battery available. Good size and ergonomic design. The touch screen works perfectly. Toshiba is a good product appropriate to their price.
