Summary: This is the second Toshiba X400 I've purchased in the last 3 months. Very nice. No..the first didn't break. I storm chase, so our crew has always used multiple cameras in the field, and we need the portability. We've used Sony before, but the Toshiba line is far better, rugged, and not as pricey. The picture is very good, its easy to download, and so far, they seem very durable.
Summary: For the money, you can't beat this camera. It only has about 45 MB of internal storage (45 seconds of HD) so a large SD card is a MUST! The zoom is a little slower than I would like, but not terrible This camera makes .mp4 files (full 1080p @ 60 fps) which are compatible with Mac, PC & Linux which is much easier than JVC's special .TOD files that you can't play without hard-to-find codecs.
A small piece of art for recording easily and the price is very accessible

Summary: I bought this product to replace my old camcorder because I didn't want to record my memories in tape since I wanna have them directly in digital content in my disk. In brief I wanted to update my camcorder. I like this product because it is small comparing with my old camcorder. It also has a friendly menu that help me to record and take pictures in an easy way. I have prefer this brand instead of the traditional ones because of their versatility.
Summary: I just purchased the Camelio and the Battery looses it's charge 1n a 3rd of what the owners manual says the battery is suppose to hold a charge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i am going to contact Toshiba on Monday and see if they can help me.
Summary: This was my first ever digital camcorder purchase for a family holiday recently. I agree with most other reviews about points raised regarding sound and not being too great in low light conditions. I bought an external mic to enhance audio output and its deffo worth getting a cheap one. I got one on amazon for around 6 quid. I found at times that it went out of focus so had to record for longer. These are the reasons i have given 4 stars.
Summary: The previous reviewers are right in what they say so I'm not adding much here.I got this camcorder for £129 at Argos on the 15th Dec 2012,it is compact, feels well built,it is light and easy to use.It does not have a plethora of features(which I find quite refreshing these days!)but allows you to shoot decent quality hi-def pictures in 1080p,and,in lesser qualities should you have the need.It takes decent quality 5mp stills, and courtesy of some digital trickery,16mp...
Summary: The camera is a brilliant purchase and the quality you get from it is pretty insane considering the price. However, the microphone is very lacklustre and leaves a lot to be desired. Sounds extremely tinny and has warranted the purchase of an external microphone for the camera when I am using it to record voices as well as footage.
