Upgraded to this Video Camera as I liked the Specs and what this camera offered
29 October 2014
Summary: Upgraded to this Video Camera as I liked the Specs and what this camera offered. What a mistake. While it is capable of decent Video the Auto Focus screws up almost every Video session. It doesn't matter if it is inside / outside / low light / bright light, the camera can not focus consistently on whatever it is you are trying to film. I would NOT recommend this camera which is unfortunate because I have had good luck with Toshiba over the years.....
Continually tried to auto-focus and had a terrible picture
29 June 2013
Summary: I chose this camera for my church because it had an audio input jack that I could run the audio from our soundboard to and was priced low. I'be owned other Toshiba products and even though I saw other reviews that said that the camera continuously tried to auto-focus I hoped that maybe Toshiba had corrected the problem. They have not. With the terrible picture quality the camera was useless.
Summary: I have always respected Toshiba for good computers and stuff. This one disappointed me. The lens is inadequate, fuzzy results v. using my still camera, Canon S 100, not even close. Could not figure out some of the operation. Called support. Found out there is no support for this device. Like it or return it are only options. OK, back she went.
Summary: This camera is packed so thoughtfully, you think you are getting something terribly expensive!- the box is so gorgeous! And your anticipation is hard to control!!! But -- when you start trying it out, your anticipation wanes to disappointment... You must get an expansion memory card. You only get like 30sec on the internal memory... The Start/Stop button is hard to push, making it difficult AND - doesn't protrude out enough for you to have a good 'feel'...
Summary: I got this camera at a great price...now I know why. The auto focus feature is intolerable. The focus goes in and out so often, it looks like a kid is using the camera, messing with the focus. I checked the specs on all the camileo camcorders, and all of them come this way standard...so horrible! there's no firmware fix, and Toshiba seems not to care. This camera only got two stars on their own website! amazing! I'm returning this thing asap.
Summary: Worst POS I ever bought. I got it to start recording cooking videos. HAH! WHAT A WASTE! quality is TERRIBLE! Picture is HORRIBLE! OH.... THEN.... when I tried to download to my computer NOTHING EVEN LOADS! I checked the cables and IT FREEZES MY WHOLE SYSTEM WHEN IT CONNECTS. Save yourself the trouble, heartache, tears, and money lost and DON'T BUY IT EVER!!!!!!! It won't even REGISTER AS AN EXTERNAL DRIVE!
Summary: I bought this camera about 6 months ago. It is absolutely the worst camcorder I have ever owned, and I have owned several. It is HORRIBLE in low light. Seriously, its like you are recording through a thin film of tomato soup. It is average in bright sunshine, though I have seen non-HD camcorders with sharper picture.
Summary: I purchased this product from Frys as I was looking for an HD video camera with a microphone jack so that I could plug in external microphone. Upon opening the package, I followed the instructions by charging the battery for four hours and formatting the SD card prior to use. First problem: I tried to figure out how to get the remote control working. No amount of touching any of the buttons triggered any sort of response from either the RC or the video camera.
Summary: I bought this from Argos 4th Oct 2012 for approx £135 and took it back for a refund the very next day. The hassle from their staff had to be seen to be believed. They did everything in their power to deny me my consumer rights and I am going to make a serious complaint to Argos about this. The camcorder was clearly and obviously broken.
