Summary: Ocean Reef delivered a most perfect product in the Toshiba Camielo X200 HD 1080p Camcorder. I have already gave them a perfect score and also personally informed them on how satisfied I was. This Toshiba seemed brand new and not re-furbished as it was promoted and that lends to the care and professionalism Ocean Reef took with this product and I for one am very pleased.
Summary: In my experience, unless you are doing purely close-up video blogging (web cam style), this camera will be useless to you. The killer is the very poor autofocus. It will lose focus whenever you film someone in motion. Low light makes it worse, but even in full sunlight it loses focus sometimes, making it a poor quality video. YouTubers and beginner film hobbyists should stay away from this camera.
Summary: This purchase was more than expected. Thank you so much. I am extremely satisfied. Thank you for expidited shipping, for perfect packaging, and for all your attention to detail. Awesome!!! Will recommend and work with you in the future.
Summary: It died a few days after purchase. Lens cap removed, the touchscreen displayed no video feed. Zoom had no effect (the zoom bar did not move). I was recording a long testing session while the camera was plugged in (contrary to what others say, you can use it while plugged in - you just have to close and re-open the touchscreen panel). Not sure what caused it to die (recording while plugged in, maxing out the SDHC), but Amazon was nice and took it back.
Summary: The short version of the story is this. I did not use the camera after I purchased it for a couple months. When I went to use it I discovered that the zoom feature goes all by itself. I set the camera on a tripod and lined up the shot. I turn on record and it was filming without me being in contact with it. Suddenly it zoomed all the way as far as it could go. I re- shot the scene and it worked fine. Another time it zoomed again. It continues to do that randomly.
