Summary: I've used this camera for over 14,000 outdoor photos and videos and still working perfectly! It's cost and features are modest, but photos and videos are of very good quality, although it is not so good for indoor photos or close-ups as they tend to blur. Battery stays charged for a long time. I will buy another Toshiba camcorder if this one ever poops out!
Summary: I purchased this cam for my 11 year old son, who wanted a cam that was easy to download video/pics to Youtube and other social media. I was stunned when I viewed the quality of the video/pics. This cam is on the same level as my much more expensive Samsung HD camcorder. The Toshiba is easy to use, easy to handle and takes great HD video/pics. I'm thinking about buying one for myself to leave in the car so I don't miss those "once in a lifetime" moments.
Summary: I love this little camera. Takes good pictures and great video. Good quality sound. Really good, convenient size to carry around and weighs almost nothing, so it isn't a pain to hold up for extended periods of time when filming events like a birthday party, etc. I definitely got my money's worth.
Summary: This is a good camera. I have enjoyed the use of the camera. I took the camera to a family reunion and got shots of the elderly people. The edited video came out well. This is ideal for people who do not want to lug around heavy equipment. This is definitely the camera for the amateur and the novice and the professional.
Summary: if you just need a video camera from time to time then i would say this is a good buy, videos look good sound isn't bad ...but i tried to take a few pictures with the camera and wasn't pleased with the way they came out, but for a small video camera it works they way it should i would say give it a try
Summary: This is a good little camcorder! It is the only one, at this price point, where you can flip the viewscreen around and actually see yourself while video blogging! (The current FLIP, Sony Bloggie, and Kodak, equivalents, do not let you see the viewscreen while recording yourself.) It doesn't deserve 1 star... I doubt that review was about the S30... it probably was about the S20. Anyways, for the price, especially on sale for $99; you can't go wrong.
Summary: I personally think that this is a very good camera. It is small, can fit in pockets. Also, it is a lot less than regular camcorders. Additionally, unlike most cameras of its price, this camera can go up to 64Gb. People have said that they feel that the material is cheap, but I am happy about it because we are cheap, that's why we bought it. (For example, I wouldn't expect to be paying $100 for a camera made out of solid platinum or something, you know?).
