Summary: Would not recommend. I only had this two weeks but in that time it would not charge properly and it would not hold the charge. My daughter had an earlier version of this and the pictures and video were so clear but every video and picture on this camera was fuzzy. Sometimes the buttons had to be pushed 2 or 3 times before it would do what it was supposed to do.
Summary: I am a drama teacher and I purchased this camera to record classroom and after school performances. It works fine for short, up close videos, but the zoom quality is poor. I bought an SD card to record my longer performances. The camera will over heat and turn off. You must take the battery out and leave it alone before it will turn on again. The video film cannot finalize when this happens so I have missed the middle and endings of THREE performances because of this.
Summary: On my 2nd Battery, and already having problems. 1 - It just stopped working after 4 months, just would not turn on 2 - As another poster stated, it will not record after a set amount of time. I set it to record for 40 minutes, and then hit the stop button, it freezes the camera. I have to take the battery out, and by then the recording is not saved.
Summary: I'm on my 3rd Camcorder and experiencing the same problem ... this company is selling defective products. Will not shut down ... battery drains. Sound volume nearly zero. Extemely poor picture quatlity. This product is defective. Amazon will not pursue or help you in this purchase after 30 days even though the warranty is for a year. Toshiba hides behind outsourced customer support and you are unable to speak with a U.S. representive.
Less than 1 week and the touchscreen fails... seriously?

Summary: Had the device for less than a week... used to shoot vid of dogs playing... worked fine... Touch Screen started flickering then stopped working for no apparent reason. Seriously... less than 1 week and it craps out on me? I mean, c'mon?! Seriously?! This thing's going back ASAP!
Summary: Very disappointed with my new Toshiba Camileo S30 camcorder just purchased last month, especially I'm now traveling in the overseas and now I cannot continue to use the camcorder for recording my trip. The problem is the touch screen is not working (or no longer working), so I cannot replay what I had recorded and also just found out, the pictures I took from the SB card is foggy and cannot retreat the video at all, so all the video I took could be all wasted!
worked only three times, then the LCD screen never turned on, the camera work but the LCD don't

Summary: I bought this camera Toshiba Camileo S30 Full HD Camcorder (Silver/Black) one mount ago, it looks very nice, and it is little. It worked very good for three times, the fourth time the LCD screen didn't turned on, the camera still work, take pictures and videos, but the LCD still off. I tried to returned, but for me, this is very expensive (I live Out of USA), so I decided to investigate the cause and found the flat cable that connects the LCD to the Camera is broken...
Summary: I got this camera thinking I was going to have this beautiful clear video with ease. I have tried multiple settings and kept the camera very still. It never appears to be HD. It's always a little fuzzy. It gets exponentially worse when I zoom. This was a terrible purchase. Not even worth $99 dollars. My old cell phone shoots better video.
Summary: This is the second Camileo I've had and both cameras have died and won't recharge. Clearly this camera is not fit for purpose and Toshiba continue to sell it-seems to be the same with their cas-look at the recalls they have! Ironically I bought the camera to film my daughter skiing and guess what it wouldn't work because it was too cold! My advice is don't buy anything with a Toshiba name on it.
