Its ok

Wajid Hussein, Amazon
25 December 2012
  • Summary: It is an ok drive. I only wish it had a 3.0 USB so it would be faster. If you need it to run on your Mac you have no other option but to reformat it otherwise it won't work since the drive was primarily made for Windows

Disappointing memory size

Eugene I. Humbert "Colorado Book Lover", Amazon
13 January 2012
  • Summary: The memory in this unit will only record about 30 seconds of action. Until I can get to a store to buy a sandisk with enough memory to hold a good deal of footage, the camera is a curiosity only. The features, from what I've been able to determine, are great. Just would be nice to be able to actually USE them. Also, there's very little to tell you HOW to use the camera. No instructional video seems to be available.

Good basic camera but some issues with sound

JetRocket11 "You cannot sedate all the things..., Amazon
9 January 2012
  • Summary: This is a good basic camera. I bought it for my stepson on sale for under $100. He has been using it for a while with no issues. The video quality looks perfect and the camera is very easy to use. One thing that I am not happy with is the audio. There are no filter settings so when it records, especially outside, you hear a lot of popping/hissing. Another thing is that this camera produces AVI video files.

Was a good deal on sale, but otherwise you can get better at full price.

rj714, Ebay
27 August 2011
  • Summary: I bought this this product on sale so. It films and takes pictures in low lighting, but are really hard to see, so would avoid that, although it does have a flashlight built in. Also really hard to take good picture without a autofocus, or I just haven't found the setting, because it is really hard to use. Records really nice 1080p HD in good lighting is the main attraction, but other than that this camera is ok at best, but for the 60 bucks I spent it was a good deal.

I am not sure, yet, if it was worth it...

asamsw, Ebay
15 August 2011
  • Summary: First of all--it isn't "touchscreen." Secondly, one has to buy a memory card that is more expensive than the product to actually capture video. Other than that, I guess it is fine...

Bait and Switch

Nanny Lou, Amazon
1 June 2011
  • Summary: 06/01/2011 I ordered a Toshiba Camileo package on Amazon that is no longer shown on the website. It included a case for the camera, a tripod, all the extras you need with a camera. I had looked it up on the Toshiba website and saw the same items and it was more expensive. There was a cheaper listing on Amazon, but it was only the camera. I chose the more expensive offer that included the case, tripod, etc. But when I received my package today, I only got the camera.

About what was expected for the price

G. Todd Frahm "Just because you can doesn't m..., Amazon
11 January 2011
  • Summary: It definitely won't replace a good quality camera; but for it's price it isn't bad. I've only taken about 10 hours of video on this unit so far and it's what I expected; but maybe a bit less than I hoped for. It's working great for indoor slow motion (opening Christmas presents, taping the family playing games etc). Videoing the youngest girl's basketball game worked pretty nicely too (much better than my EVO 4g phone!).

Little Buttons; Complicated Menu Options; Incorrect Tech Details

snowman, Amazon
8 January 2011
  • Summary: Over all not a bad camera. However, if you have 'large' fingers you may want to think twice. I had difficulty selecting the right button position with my some what large hands. One of the switches has 3 positions: top, bottom & middle. Good luck on that one. In addition, I thought the menu options were somewhat confusing and not very logical. be aware that the 1080 has NO zoom and NO anti-shake.

good for the price and portability

ghostnica, Amazon
31 December 2010
  • Summary: The price excellent (98 bucks when I purchased the item, shipping included). Excellent for casual film, family and related, definitive far a way from the quality of a more complete camera.
