  • Summary: I purchased the Camileo S20 fourteen months ago (April 2011) and had use it infrequently upto this point. All of a sudden, while I was taking pictures and video the camcorder when dead. When I tried to charge the battery, I got nothing. Called Toshiba customer service and was told that it was past the 1 year warranty.

DO NOT BUY!!

  • Summary: Worst ever small video recorder I have seen so far. Do not buy it unless it costs 25 bucks and you are planning to gift to a kid who can use it or break it you dont even care. The looks are neat and it is light weight but it records worst quality videos..my smart phone records better videos as compared to this Camileo device and do not even think about using the camera for still photos..its even worst. All in all its a waste.

Not worth time or $ - buy a camera and take video, will come out better.

ncinsfl, Ebay
3 June 2011
  • Summary: This camcorder is the worst investment ever. Although you're only spending $80, the picture quality is less than that of an 8mm! It may be taking 720p videos, but its 720p of blur and just wastes your HDD space. I recommend spending the extra $200 and getting a camera that is worth your time and memories. Sorry Toshiba, you've lost me forever. How could you put this crap on the market?

Worked fine... for four months.

  • Summary: I purchased this hard drive in January. Started last month I began having problems with it. It doesn't stay "connected" to my computer when plugged it. It repeatedly "ejects" itself. If I had the volume on the sound of it "disconnecting and connecting again" drove me nuts. The last couple of weeks it began giving me a message that the drive needed to be formatted before use.

Terrible customer service

Chris Nock, Amazon
29 January 2011
  • Summary: I was not able to get this product to work on my computer, and had the WORST time trying to get tech support from Toshiba. The hard drive comes with no instructions. When it failed to work, I had to search to even find a phone number or email, and once I contacted them they did not return my calls, my emails took 3 days to get a response, and then the reply made no sense. I give up!! I wouldn't waste my time on this one!

  • Summary: This hard drive seemed good at first. Convenient, light and very portable. Just yesterday plugged it in, but couldn't read data that was stored. Had to reformat and now it's running super slow... I would not recommend this product.

Buyer Beware! Expensive Replacement Battery!

Amazonian Consumer, Amazon
2 December 2010
  • Summary: I really like the price of this Toshiba Camileo S20 camcorder, but be prepared to pay big bucks for a replacement battery! Toshiba says on its web site that the battery type is BL-5C, which is commonly used by Nokia on its mobile phones. I bought a BL-5C battery to test, and it would NOT electrically fit into the S20 because the battery terminals are offset differently!
