Toshiba Camileo Pro camcorder

Dr. V. L. Barbosa "Vee", Amazon
12 August 2009
  • Summary: I wasn't very impressed with the camcorder after the first use, because I used it to film my daughter's stagecoach play, which was in a dark stage, and the result was quite bad. As other reviewers pointed out, the result is very shaky - you would need a tripod to get a smooth film. However, when I used the camcorder outdoors on a sunny day, the film was much better, what I would call acceptable.

Toshiba Cameo Pro HD

Petrersan Islander "Petersan Islander", Amazon
28 July 2009
  • Summary: I am fed up with spending £500 plus on camcorders so I saw this camera and bought it. If it falls to bits in two years that'll be fine, at least it didn't cost much. Actually because it was so cheap I take it everywhere and I love it. I also bought a tiny little Sony tripod which my son piddled himself laughing about.

Camileo Pro HD-DV - OK just about

Gary Watkin, Amazon
15 July 2009
  • Summary: First purchase in March '09 sound dodgey and software did nothing on loading. Amazon kindly sent me a replacement. Picture great but sound still a bit rough, why didn't they put the mike at the front of the camera? - not had chance to try software yet. And last week the zoom button failed, but credit to Amazon they have agreed to take back even after 30 day initial warranty. I don't know whether to buy another - buy the way you all realise this is a rebranded Aiptek?

Awful product - steer well clear

J. Williams, Amazon
5 July 2009
  • Summary: Received mine in Feb but only really started to use it in earnest and the results are not good. Very poor indoors, stuttery video, and the sound is either a) non-existent, b) undecipherable, or c) very poor. I will try to get a refund or swap it from Amazon or Toshiba. False economy - buy something better quality.

Thought it must be faulty!

P. Bovingdon "Bov35", Amazon
5 July 2009
  • Summary: Didn't even get a chance to start this review because the audio on my Camileo was awful! There was a constant "phasing" sound, regardless of the recording environment. Returned it to Amazon as a faulty item for replacement and received the replacement before I'd even returned the original - brilliant Amazon service - but the replacement had exactly the same problem!

Camileo Pro HD Camcorder

Sergio Huerta Parajon, Amazon
1 July 2009
  • Summary: Toshiba Camileo Pro HD is an excelent camcorder for amateur video recorders. It is very light and small. With this camara you can record a video with 720p of resolution, photos (to 5Mpx), record voice and listen to MP3. Camara record a video in MP4 format. I recommended this product, it is very easy to use and very cheap.

Excellent quality, great price.

Alex HB, Amazon
21 June 2009
  • Summary: If, like me, you need a camcorder just to film 'everyday' things casually BUT you want really great quality then this really is just the job. You might be surprised at just how good the quality is, it displays a really sharp image in great detail - and great for showing on a 40inch LCD TV for example. It organises the footage well and comes with a remote to make viewing and using the camera itself really easy.

Great camera on a shoestring budget

Jason Boylan "I <3 Zombies", Amazon
2 June 2009
  • Summary: When I got it out, honestly, I didn't feel great. It doesn't look cheap, but it just doesn't look as good as the pictures make it look. Well I tried it out, and as of yet I haven't worked out how to save still pictures, but the video mode is extremely simple. The zoom is very quiet, but not amazingly responsive. Overall the camera is excellent build quality and I'd reccomend it to anyone.

Would expect something more

J. Klepacki, Amazon
23 May 2009
  • Summary: At first it seemed very good Toshiba camcorder for money. However, I was very disappointed by recording quality espacially indoors. Artificial light was not enough exposure for this device - all recordings were almost completely black. Outdoor recording in daytime was nearly perfect, but sound issue (actual lack of sound and lots of hissing noises instead) spoiled it totally.
