Summary: The battery is excellent and lasts for hours. Powering on is almost instant. Playback isn't real intuitive but it works. Image stabilization is non-existent. I've read that it only works in 720p but I literally don't see a difference bewteen having stabilization on or off.
Summary: Got this camera on a great deal for like $150 during the holiday season over a year ago for my oldest daughter. It's a great camera except the battery life on the included battery is really horrible, lasts like 10 minutes.
Summary: I just bought this camera with the hopes that it would be easy to use and affordable with good picture quality. It meets all the fore-mentioned and more. I really like the size of the camera and had some additional features i didn't know it had.
Summary: This is a very nice little camcorder but Toshiba includes the wrong software from ArcSoft. I wouldn't expect much from a bundled video editor but, because there is no recording pause function, the only way to skip over some boring stuff is to stop and start a new file after a delay.
Summary: I brought this camcorder a month ago after doing some very extensive research on it. I even went to Toshiba's site, and it was cheaper (about $100 less) to buy from here. After reading the reviews, my heart sank a little, most were negative, but I figured that it was really up to me.
Summary: This is a great little full HD camera, my only complaint about it... is the mic. I read a few reviews about this camera before buying it. The mic doesn't do very well in loud environments, and I'm not talking about rock concert status.
Pros: Size, Features, Full HD, Touchscreen, Style, Take still photos up to 16mp as it records, HDMI cable in box, remote control, picks up sound very well up to 70yds.+ away. Rich colors on trees, flowers etc....
Cons: Low light situations are not prefered by this camcorder but with external light it does wonderful. The auto focus could be alot faster but i'm sure that means more bucks also.
Pros: User friendly: It can download without software direct, optical only zoom, 1 button switch between 16MP photo and 1080p 30fps video, and easy navagation touch screen lcd. Audio can pick up your whisper, and all the birds at sunset. Quality case and 2 SD card bounus.
Summary: For $1?? it can't be beat. Every camera has its limitations and alot of the fun is learning the limits and still making great video.
Pros: If you have good light you have great quality. It has features found only on cams twice + the price. Its light but still feels pretty solid. 5X optical zoom is unfound in others at this price. NewEgg threw in a case and two 4 gig cards; no other retail can touch that.
Cons: Pretty grainy in low light but still does circles around the VGA camcording function in digital cameras. I wish it used AA batteries as an alternate. Touch screen can be a little non-responsive.
