Summary: I bought this camera mainly with snowboarding in mind. But I quickly discovered that the camera cannot be turned on and off while it is in the waterproof case. This means that in order to save battery power (i.e., while riding the lifts and on runs where I don't want to record) I would need to take the camera out of the case, turn it off, then put it back in. Same thing would apply to getting it started back up before going down the runs after getting off the lift.
Summary: This is a decent camera for the price. Considering all the accessories that they give you it seems to be a good deal. But the video quality is just not there. The lens is very cheap and the sensor has a very hard time properly adjusting to light. I ended up returning this camera and purchased the Sony Action Cam AS-10. The difference between these camera are night and day but the prices are not very far apart from each other.
Summary: This camera has a lot of features that are optional in the Gopro Hero2, however the video quality is not a sharp as the Hero2, and the audio is horrible. I had this mounted in a car (as advertised) and when any substantial noise was made, the camera would record a static-crackle type noise. If you are going to dub over the sound anyways, this is not a concern.
Summary: First of all, this camera is much smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. It looks like a camera that Derick Zoolander would use... The Bad- The camera warps the outer edges of the video pretty bad. You can see it in some of the videos on youtube. I could live with that just because this camera has a waterproof case for shooting videos underwater. What I cant live with is the constant squeaking sound that overpowers each video.
Summary: This camera is great for video but absolutely horrible for sound. It snaps, crackles and pops. Unless its sitting still in a room not moving. Having bought both this and a gopro hero2. I found this came with far more features as standard and a way better price, unless you want good quality sound. I exchanged my first one over the sound issue thinking it was just the one I had been sold. It wasn't. They all have terrible sound.
Summary: I received this camera as a gift over the holidays and was really excited to use it. When I first tested it, the video was shifty and paused a bit every few seconds. I fixed this issue by formatting the memory card using the camera as the instruction manual suggested. One problem I was not able to fix, however, was the audio problems. I had intended to use this camera as a dash camera for when I go for drives with other car enthusiasts on the weekends.
