Shame on SONY!!!

  • Summary: I just received this cam from Conns for $60 bucks ($50 + tax + shipping). Thought I repped the deal, but totally got wrong this time. Sony really packaged this very well to look great. They are selling a piece of junk in a neat package. That is all... what a shame!!. Guys, don't just take the brand name for granted. I am an engineer and I do a lot of research before buying products... especially electronics. Unfortunately..I quickly jumped on this ..

"Another cheap Sony; a day late and a dollar short."

  • Pros: It might be good as a memory stick reader perhaps? It could have provided a bridge between your basic web-cam and a flash media portable camera.
  • Cons: It is basically a cheap web cam in a plastic black box designed to provide a market for memory stick's. Remember the days when Sony meant innovation and quality? Those days left with the betamax!!

I love Sony but they dropped the ball on this one

  • Summary: I bought this camera today to take on a vacation. Since I don't vacation often I cheaped out because I will only use it once. First off, I had to buy a 2 GB card for $50.00 on top of the price - it doesn't come with a card. I spent over an hour trying to set the date and time. The buttons are so small it's nearly impossible to use the toggle switch for up/down/side ways.
