Excerpt: First off, we have two FS-100's and so that was a decision factor because we are familiar with the menu and controls, and the 700 is almost identical in the menu and controls. What this camera does to improve upon the FS-100 though is:
1. Built in ND filter
Excerpt: Great camera at a good price with amazing slow motion at 960 frames.
Slow motion with external recorder at 4k pitty is sold separately.
If you are looking to record at 4k only the camera requires the external recorder and that will set you back at least 3,000 us aditional but it is worth it compared...
Excerpt: Ive been usi g the sony hxr50mu which is now a discontinued model. Now ive got the Sony Fs700 and Im extremely happy. Ive had it a week and as I learn to tweak the images its becoming quite clear this thing is a monster! Oh and then 240 fps is simply amazing!
Excerpt: Since I always shoot on sticks, this camera is great for me. The high resolution quality is wonderful. It does well even in dim light. I love having interchangeable lenses, but wish I could control the zoom electronically.
Excerpt: Coming from still photography and DSLR-based video, the FS700's stellar output is a delight. And I'll join the rest of the people praising the high frame rates - 240fps is more than just a cool toy. It's already contributed some first-rate polish to some early projects.
Excerpt: Upgraded from the FS100 and I'm not looking back. Slo-mo is great, feels more "solid" and in conjunction with the Odyssey 7Q and the new Slog setting it is a truly fantastic camera. Even regular HD recorded to internal media looks sharper.
Excerpt: I haven't used this specific camera yet because the rebate for the lens adapter takes 8-10 weeks to arrive, but I bought this because of my experience using the same model this summer. The controls for how powerful the camera is are quite simple. The quality of the video is amazing even at 960 Hz.
