Excerpt: I use this camcorder to create films for my film class. The features are sooo nice, I particularly like the "image stabilization" feature. Makes such a difference. The only feature I have trouble with is the switch between auto and manual modes, it kind of lags and doesn't enact as quick as I need it o.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: I purchased this camcorder in the spring in plans to film our family vacation in the summer. The camera was used very sparingly prior to our trip--enough to familiarize myself with how it worked and shoot some test footage. I was very pleased with the footage and the camera's image stabilization capability.

However, the camera totally failed me on the vacation and was unusable.
Excerpt: I researched high and low before settling on this camera. The review that was the absolute best was by Video Whisperer (http: //thevideowhisperer.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/pure-frickin-magic-sony-hxr-nx30-review/). This camera is everything it claims to be! It is SO easy to use, with amazing quality. The only thing I don't like so far is that it is difficult to remove the XLR mic cables.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality
Excerpt: As a novice videographer, I will be using my new SONY NXR_NX30 HD camcorder for two projects: a dance video and an oral history project in my community. It is intuitive to use and the automatic features create a quality image in a variety of lighting environments. I am disappointed with the view finder: too short and too small. The audio is not strong but is adequate. I will likely buy a Rodemic for the interview videos.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Large Clear LCD, Zoom range/performance
Excerpt: I needed a new small but powerful addition to my camera gear. This thing is incredible! It has much better stabilization than cameras costing many times more.Alright, so you can't change lenses. But the built-in Carl Ziess lens is pretty good, and the aperture settings allow you to get those depth-of-field shots; though not as quick and easy as using a good lens with a low F-Stop.As far as lenses go, Sony has a tele and wide converter, that's about it.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Great Zoom
Excerpt: Picture quality is great, assuming the scene is well-lit. The floating assembly is amazing to watch and really makes a difference in the steadiness of the shot. Most of my work will be on a tripod, but I might venture off the tripod with this feature available.

The projector image is a bit dimmer than I had hoped, but is pretty amazing given the size of the lamp and lens.
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Great Zoom
Cons: Controls Are Cramped, Manual Dial Behind Hood, No Included Lanc Cable, Poor In Low Light, Projector Is Dim
Excerpt: I bought this camera after a lot of thought and consideration. I wanted something easy to use that would give me a good quality result if I used it properly. I've been wanting to really get into amateur film-making that will hopefully one day segue into a professional outlet, but since I have a lot of health problems, I needed to know I was getting a camera I wouldn't have to fight with too much and waste energy struggling with.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: I'm still figuring it all out, but for having 96GB of memory, I find it somewhat annoying that the camera requires you to insert a memory card before it will let you record anything. Size is adequate. I think that handle on the top is not entirely the best positioning decision, but I really appreciate the lense and its clarity.
