Features

The Sony HVR-HD1000 features a camcorder with HDV features. It offers shoulder mount design which provides stability to the photographer while shooting. It is recommended for use with wedding videographers, educational facilities and users searching for professional-end type of camcorder. This camcorder features Sony’s 1/ 2.9 inches ClearVid CMOS sensor, a 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonner T*lens with optical image stabilization which offers image features for the user. This display of the camcorder comes with an LCD screen and EVF which are positioned in front of the cameraman when the camcorder is shoulder-mounted. The Smooth Slow Rec function provides for slow-motion recording and playback. The Sony HVR-HD1000 features 0 lux shooting with Super Night Shot mode which utilizes an infrared light emitter where it allows for video to be captured when there is no light source. It offers shooting at SD or HD resolutions. In addition to this, it provides the down conversion option for shooting resolutions. The HD master tapes provide storage for recording video recordings.

The Sony HVR-HD1000 features recommended accessories which include AC adaptor, power cord, AV connecting cable, eye cap, rechargeable battery, lens hood, lens cap, microphone and wind screen, CD-ROM manual and operating guide.

  • Is this a good camera for someone just getting into vidography?

    I want a video camera that when I zoom in it won't blur like my Sony handycam that I bought at walmart. I want a good camera to shoot video of my kids. I want good picture and good audio. I probably won't be doing any video editing. Just point and shoot but I wont something that looks professional and will give a professional sound and video. Please help!

    I am new to these type of camcorders and would like some information. I am looking for a nice camcorder to record my kids school plays, birthday parties, and other special occasions. I would also like to do some weddings. Is this camcorder a decent camcorder for these purposes? I am also looking at the Canon GL2. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
