I want a video camera that when I zoom in it won't blur like my Sony handycam that I bought at walmart. I want a good camera to shoot video of my kids. I want good picture and good audio. I probably won't be doing any video editing. Just point and shoot but I wont something that looks professional and will give a professional sound and video. Please help!

I am new to these type of camcorders and would like some information. I am looking for a nice camcorder to record my kids school plays, birthday parties, and other special occasions. I would also like to do some weddings. Is this camcorder a decent camcorder for these purposes? I am also looking at the Canon GL2. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a nice camcorder to video my kids school plays, birthday parties, and other special occassions. Does this camcorder support wireless mic audio? I am new to these types of camcorders but would love to have one. I have also been looking at the Canon GL2 but I like the looks of the Sony better, of course, looks are not everything. Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
