Summary: i cant really write a review on this product i waited for a month for it to be sent never was and so i returned it. i know this is an awesome camcorder from all my research i wish i would have gotten it. instead i bought a dslr but they only record video for 10 minutes at a time .
Summary: It works very well. The image is clear and in HD. The zoom (42x) is perfect to take those distant scenes, such as the kids' playing, or animals at zoo, and so on. The main advantage is its 160GB of internal storage, so I can shoot for hours and hours, without worrying to clear the disk.
Summary: After two months of use primarily for sporting events the camcorder has worked very well. Video quality is the best I have ever seen with a consumer type camera. The product also has several nice features that enhance the video experience.
Summary: Why do companies have to put less of something important with something good? In this case a roomy hard drive but only 2 hour battery, really depressive. It is same if computer had great CPU and video card but only 256 memory, which a certain company does.
Pros: Works like it is intended to. Have only had for 2 months, but nothing has broken yet. The zoom is impressive. The hard drive is what sold me on this.
Cons: I did not see any mention of battery life while I was shopping for this camera, really wish the company would have put a better battery on, the one they send is only good for 2 hours, kind of defeats my purpose of getting a camera with a hard drive. If out in the boondocks with no close recharge ...
Summary: As applicable for all items this product (HDR-XR160) also as has pros & cons. PROS: 1. 30x optical zoom is simply amazing. 2. Highest clarity (27Mbps) HD video gives you stunningly clear picture quality. Especially in daylight/outdoor. 3. Different scene modes serve the usual needs. Eg.
Summary: I got this product and partially happy with it compared with my Sony TRV-340 digital8 camcorder. Something I want to point out: Features: I don't like the battery release button because it is at the bottom of the camcorder.
