Summary: I just needed a video camara and this one work very well and it take grate photos, easy to use. when you are looking for samething to work well this is a very good option. nice, and easy. I go it and the next day I went on vacation, 16 day of grate fun with the camara and my wife love it all so. Nice and easy to use.
Summary: I bought this camcorder since it was an affordable HD camera. I have an HD TV and didn't see the point in buying a camcorder that will not play back at 1080P. The clarity from this camcorder is awesome. I just did some basic recording by it seems to have the ability to recored in special modes... cannot wait to try!
Summary: This camera looks great to me. So far the video quality is excellent, and practically indistinguishable from what you'd expect from a DVD-quality movie. I have not tried it on a Blueray, though. It is very important to use the options menu, especially white balance, exposure control, etc. Using a fully automated mode rendered unnatural skin color and somewhat washed out picture, at least in my hands.
Summary: This is a great camera! The battery life is excellent. The video is very clear. And the sound is the best I have ever heard in a camera...and we have a miniDV, and Canon flash based camcorder. I would highly recommend this camera to others! It is easy to import into your computer. I haven't tried to edit the content yet..but was able to easily get it into my machine.
Summary: I recently purchased this when my daughter was born. I have only used it a few times now but I am very happy with the design and menus. I love the touchscreen. That is a nice feature. It is also lightweight and compact. I cant compare video quality to any other digital HD camcorders because I have never used them but overall I am happy with the video quality. It is def. better than my 7 year old 8mm. Dont expect HD like you see on TV though.
Summary: I purchased this product in 1/09.Now I can not plaback the sound and the tech team could not fix the problem,so I am left with 300 $ repair cost! I did not buy extra warranty because of SONY name.
Summary: This product was everything my wife wanted and more. Very sweet. My wife is no rocket scientist, and she had it recording right out of the box. The touch-screen menu makes the camera very easy to learn and setup. Well worth the money. Don't forget to buy plenty of discs as each one records only 30 minutes.
Summary: The good: - It's very flexible. The ability to record to 8GB internal or a 8GB flash card ("Memory Stick Pro Duo") is excellent. No moving parts, so the battery lasts forever (or at least a good long time). - Picture quality great in good lighting. - You can record to the memory or card, and then use the camera to burn to a mini-DVD only those clips you want -- even at your mother-in-law's house (in the same format as you recorded).
Summary: I've had the HDR-UX20 for about 2 weeks now and have used it to record my sons football games and daughters volleyball games. I record the games to an 8GB duo pro memory stick at SP HQ quality and have been satisfied with the results. When I get home I insert the memory stick into a Sony VRD-MC5 DVD recorder, push record and copy the video to DVD. The mini DVD's only record about 20 mins of HQ video so I use full size DVD's on the MC5.
Summary: I bought this Camcorder from BH Photo Video for 330 dollars. Its an open box item. But it looks just new. Great piece. I tried both internal memory and mini dvd. You can play the mini dvds directly in your blue ray player. Editing software is very good. I recommend this to every one.
