Excerpt: I bought this camera simply because I wanted a 3D camera for my family... It turns out this camera has an awesome 3D video recording capability, it's clear, fluid, good 5.1 audio, everything well balanced. Of course, part of the idea was to save the resulting videos on a 3D bluray disk, and here is when the problems begins; to say it simple: The software provided by Sony doesn't produce 3D bluray.
Pros: Easy to Use, Excelent 3d Video Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Great Sound, Large Clear LCD
Cons: Can't Burn Standard 3d-bd, Poor In Low Light
Excerpt: I've been playing with this 3D video recorder since August and have been dragging my feet till now to write a review. First of all I totally agree with the review before me that it is BEYOND frustrating that you can't (at this time) do any type of simple editing with this device. A few stereoscopic titles coming out of the screen and some cross fades from one scene to the next is all I want, but it seems it's not possible at this time.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Great Zoom, Zoom range/performance
Excerpt: When playing my 3D clips using the camera HDMI to 3D TV in 3D mode, the 3D effect is perfect. I'm disappointed cause I found out that I'm not able to edit my MTS files in 3D. I bought this camera for a special 3D project and I'm still looking for a way to edit the files, adding fade-in and crop. Even with Sony Vegas 13 Pro, I only get a 3D effect that is flat like if I was in 2D.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Zoom range/performance
Excerpt: I would only recommend it to a friend with the caveat that they shouldn't expect to use the software that comes with it, and will likely need to lay out another several hundred $'s for Vegas Pro. I use it for everything, including when I want a still image because I can convert the 3D video into 3D stills.Great video quality, 3D effect is decent, image stabilization works very well. Pretty easy to figure out without the manual.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound
Cons: Adequate Support, Bad Software, Unresolved Support
Great new camcorder that does not burn in 3D using Sony Software

Summary: I bought this camcorder because all the reviews were great. Immediately after my first vacation I wanted to burn my recordings into a 3D disc. It would not burn. I went through 7 layers of Sony IT support without any resolution. They finally sent this case to their software group in Japan. It has been almost 2 months and I have not heard a word from Sony. When it comes to camcorders I have always bought Sony, this was my 5th camcorder.
Summary: I've purchased several Sony camcorders and will continue to purchase in the future. Lost my original TD10 during vacation, so I had to purchase this replacement TD30 without even blinking. The quality and build of this product is great. Make sure you use the Sony PMB software for archiving all your photos and videos.
Summary: I have only owned this camcorder for around two weeks. We took it on a trip to western Canada and the recordings are amazing. The camera is also small and very light to carry. Our family loves it!
This is an excellent 3D camcorder, just okay for taking pictures.

Summary: I purchased this on Amazon initially, but it didn't arrive on time, so I ended up having to look locally and return this one to Amazon. This camera has many features, most of which I have not used. It was very simple to open the box and begin recording great video. The video is excellent in daylight. I filmed a wedding and reception. The wedding was outside on a sunny day, the reception dinner was indoors and party outside after.
