  • Summary: A stomping great video monster that packs more memory than a herd of elephants into a beautifully crafted shell lighter than an aardvark (as long as aardvarks weighs 561g or more). Pure class.

Sony HDR-SR12E review

Stuff.tv

  • Summary: The recipe for Sony’s new SR12 camcorder is simple: take last year's chart-topping SR8, add more megapixels, extra gigabytes, a larger screen and a longer zoom, then top it all off with an improved sensor and better processor. The result? The SR8 on heat. With a 120 GB hard drive on board it can shoot full 1920x1080i HD video at top quality for an incredible 15 hours. You'd need thirty MiniDV tapes or 15 8GB memory cards to match it.

  • Summary: A hybrid, high-definition video camcorder that can also capture 10.1-megapixel still images.Sony's HDR-SR12 camcorder - and its sister model the HDR-SR11 (RRP $1999) - differ only in the capacity of their built-in hard disk drives (HDD), with the SR12 having twice the capacity of the SR11. Both models include some of the technologies developed for Sony's still cameras and both support AVCHD video recording with a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. . .
