It's good just gotta erase any videos left on it.

Paul C. Skertich "Paul", Amazon
15 April 2013
  • Summary: It is what it is - HDR-SR10 but the HDR-SR11 is much better. However, this camcorder will only be used for Static Cameras in paranormal investigation. However though, upon filming in the day - I noticed the Automatic Focus kept on blurring in and out when moved suddenly. There may be a way to change this but far as I can see it - I don't think I have the control for manual focus. It doesn't have 60 frames per second just only 30 frames per second.

  • Summary: Used a friends Sony HDR-SR10 and loved it. Simple to operate and has no tapes, has the hard drive, 40gb. Only thing I miss is the viewfinder I had on my Sony TRV-720.

For the average camcorder user this will do nicely.

S. Kalpakoff, Amazon
1 April 2009
  • Summary: Spent many hours on internet and in stores reviewing and testing similiar camcorders in price and features from all manufacturers. Came down to price, video quality, and zoom and O.I.S. for me, o.k. and an auto lense cover I admit. Pros: -When focusing and using the zoom at the same time the picture stayed clear, focused, and steady (unlike all the Canon HF series camcorders I tried). -Quick battery charge from docking station (took an hour).

Low Light Adjustment

Gregory R. Epple, Amazon
28 March 2009
  • Summary: I too was disappointed with the low light results from the SR10. Then I happened to adjust the Exposure setting. I turned it down a few clicks and suddenly the grainy image corrected itself. May not work for everyone but when I adjust it to room conditions prior to filming, it seems to turn out well. You adjust regular cameras for light conditions, why not a camcorder?

Worth the money... at least for $410.

Serpens Solida, Amazon
20 February 2009
  • Summary: I have to say I wanted the HDR-SR11, but was too expensive for me. So I found this one for $410 and took it. Well, gotta say that besides the 10 MP it lacks, this one is fair enough for the money. Good quality, plenty of functions, nice interface, light, compact, silent, cool. I would have never payed $900 for it, but what I payed was right.

A good deal for the price of the product

Amit, B&H Photo
5 February 2009
  • Summary: Sony HDR-SR10 is definitely aa good buy from B&H photo. The camcorder is easy to use & gives best results even in dark. The only thing of concern is the Battery Life. The battery being supplied with the Cam corder doesnt last for a single day even (typical shooting when you go on a outing). Else the product is fantastic. [...
  • Pros: Comfortable to Operate, Great Features, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Simple Controls
  • Cons: Poor Battery Life
