Summary: I probably should not write a review when I'm in a bad mood or when I'm having problems with a product . . . but here goes anyway. The good news: The Sony HDR-SR10 40 gb is indeed a High Def. camera that records a high definition picture and a fairly decent audio track in (supposedly) 5.1 Surround Sound. It seems to be robust and error or trouble free in terms of glitches, software and otherwise. And it interfaces with both my PC and iMac with Standard and HiDef footage.

Pros: Good size, feel. Big LCD screen. Good sound if subject is close to camera.
Cons: This thing is pretty much chained to the docking system that came with it. Can't re-charge or download without it and it doesn't seem to fit into the dock as well as it should. Also, the dock has a large footprint. Proprietary file format sucks too.
