Summary: This does amazing things. It converts your simple videos into a production, on its own. it grabs snapshots out of your videos, when it sees a face. It has convinced me as well as my friends that there is hope for middle priced video. Only have it a few days, but it is as decribed in the reviews- Very Cool.
Summary: This was irresistible. It's very small and lightweight. It worked right out of the box, without even having to charge the battery. It's so easy to use I was recording video as soon as I picked it up. And what video it shoots! When they say HD, they mean HD. What amazing clarity. I shot a test run of a fifteen-minute video around the house, in low light, and had it projecting on the wall without needing to look at the directions at all.
Summary: Our old camcorder was a tape type. We wanted to get a new one for upcoming children's weddings, traveling here and abroad. We are extremely happy with this purchase and where we purchased it from.
Excerpt: Bought this for a 2 week trip to Europe, loved the projection aspect of it for watching what we taped in the eve, the picture quality is the best and overall it is easy to use, small in your palm and takes great pics as well.
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Great Zoom
Summary: Overall, I am very happy with my latest purchase of the Sony Handycam HDR-PJ580V. I've had it for just under one month, have made two completed FCPX projects and am working on the third. After looking at several camera brands and models, it came down to three cameras: the Sony Handycam HDR-CX580V, the HDR-PJ580V, and finally the HDR-PJ710V. I discovered that the HDR-CX580V and the HDR-PJ580V are identical except for the projector.
Summary: I bought the camera for two main reasons: I wanted a wide lens camera to be able to tape my kids at home, which mean from a close range, and I wanted a good shaking stabilizer. The camera delivered both things greatly. Also, it is small, image quality is great and the software is easy to use. The only thing that could be better is the projector. You need a very dark room to see it well.
