Not bad, but not outstanding

Storm, Amazon
21 February 2013
  • Summary: I would suggest this Sony camcorder as an excellent budget purchase. However, for those with an extra hundred dollars or so to spend, the world of camcorders opens up to a point where these entry level models seem almost outdated. If I were to speak about one outstanding feature of this camera, it would be the zoom. The 25x zoom is a great feature, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the overall stability of the shot even at those zoom levels.

Not That Impressive

Ratman, Amazon
13 February 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this item through Amazon and it arrived within 4 days. I read the specs and thought it would be great for travel and special occasions. I was first surprised by it's light weight and feel , being mainly plastic based. I found it quite easy to use, although anyone with big hands might find manoeuvering the zoom toggle a bit cumbersome.

  • Summary: I bought this on black friday. The product quality is good. It delivered ontime. Pros: The Video quality is good in the low light also. The Projector quality is also good. Cons: The Photo quality is not up to the mark. It comes with NP-FV30 battery. This battery is giving only 1.5 hours. Need to buy spare battery.

Sony HDR-PJ200 High Def Handycam-Great Video not Stills

LG "*", Amazon
24 October 2012
  • Summary: This is a great, tiny "handycam" that literally fits into the cup of my hand. I love that it is small, inconspicuous, comfortable to hold, and light. That being said...My pros & Cons list comes next: Cons (up front): * Still pictures are lousy quality and hardly of any use * You Must Buy Your Own SD card, does not come with one(need SD class 10 32GB or more are best) * Lens cover does not open automatically which would be nice * The cover to the Memory cards and outlets...

great picture but clumsy controls.

Patrick Holt "txdragon", Amazon
17 October 2012
  • Summary: This is a sweet little camera. Even at standard quality settings, the picture is great. Very nice and detailed. Zoom works good, and low light operation is acceptable. I have only 2 issues that keep it from 5 stars. 1. The touch controls are too small for normal or big fingers. It can be hard to select thing via touch. 2. Transfer of video is a little harder than it needs to be. You cannot just take out he card and put in a card reader and pull the video off.
