Excerpt: After finally deciding to play Call of Duty Online with my friends, I had realized that I really needed a microphone to make the experience enjoyable. While all my friends made jokes and laughed while playing, I was silent, unable to speak without this fundamental accessory for online gaming. …
Summary: A great camera for the price. This camera does great in well lit conditions with great clarity and minimal to no bleeding. Although I don't recommend using a built in microphone as a primary source of audio, I was impressed with audio sound from the built in microphone on the FX7.
Summary: I bought this camcorder to replace a damaged 2100 Sony camcorder (which I really liked!) and I wasn't so sure about the HDV. After all, most of my customers/clients aren't buying HD products yet. Well, my first job was a shoot at a convention, doing a celebrity "roast" for one of the guest writers.
Summary: I got a 2nd hand/used HDR-FX7 to replace an ancient SONY SD Handicam who's head burnt out. My first impression was the size, it's much larger and heavier (about 1.5kg) however it wasn't that much of an issue for me as a new professional.
Summary: I have two of theese cameras for professional broadcast show on cable tv. They are very lightweight so you can carry 2 in backpack with no problem. I suggest you to buy wide angle Sony conversion lenses because its a must, main when you need to shoot outdoors, interview people at parties etc.

Summary: I was expecting to get the cables needed to connect to the camcorder, the cables that came with the camcorder didn't come with the order. HDMI, The Firewire cable and a few other that should have been included in the order. One cable was included but it was for a kodak product.
