The Sony HDR-FX1: A work horse for filming in the Third World
5 August 2012
Summary: We purchased the camera as a backup to the FX1 that we own. This camera is in excellent shape as it had been handled with immaculate care. The Sony FX1is a superlative camera in every respect. It's only drawback today is that it does not have the capability of recording to a solid state chip, recording only to mini DV tapes.
Summary: I now have three HDR-FX1 cameras, mainly because they are such great workhorse cameras with exceptional HD quality at an incredible price. Pros: three big imaging chips, fantastic lenses, good form factor, plush with manual controls. Cons: No XLR audio jacks, no progressive mode, and only records to tape internally. I have external solid-state chip recording devices that overcome the tape limitation, and they record in progressive.
You cant beat it for the price and works like a charm

Summary: OK I normally dont buy online but when this camera first came out a few years ago I checked the specs and wanted it hands down. I bought it off ebay here and to my surprise even used it meets all the needs i need it for. It does 1080 video along with standerd built in mic which seems good for a built in along with the option to put a powered mic to it. All in all it's a good buy weither your a pro or not it'll fit the bill all the way around..
Summary: Man this is a crazy deal. Every thing mentioned total about 5g or more. He gonna drop it for about 3,999. Pulse is truly a completed set ready for ACTION. I really recommend this camera for Filming. A bid would be interesting.
this camera is the allmighty power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: can only say good things about this camera, since day one of receiving the package in the mail i was out and about filming anything and everything i could possibly see! Would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for the edge and raw feeling of making films. The hdr fx-1 provides you with everything you need to make independent films and what ever your mind desires.
Summary: This camcorder still (after 6 years of being on market), still bests in low-light recording. It generates brighter color than the Canon HX-A1 (this is also a good camcorder) that we've had in the past. I'm waiting in the market for its replacement and I have not found better low-light camcorder as of yet. None of 2011 pre-announcements indicate that the low-light sensitivities will get better. Only draw back is that it does 1440x1080 instead 1920x1080.
