Summary: I've owned numerous video cameras and camcorders, mainly prosumer ones and this one is the best. It produces beautiful imagery and is very well automated. Its a great still camera too and you could probably leave your still camera at home if you wanted to travel light.
Summary: This video camera has exceeded all my expectations. Fantastic video quality and still image quality. I didn't know what to expect with the new Balanced Optical SteadyShot image stabilization system. Now I wouldn't want anything else. I find that I can hand-hold the camera at full zoom and get perfectly steady video. Works great!
Summary: I love the camera, it's compact, but yet is able to produce professional quality videos. Very easy to use, all touch screen. No grain when shooting in low light indoors, and this a very important aspect to me. Picture and colors are very vivid, this was also very important for me. Five stars all the way. Highly recommend it.
Summary: This thing is great. Perfect picture. I got the extra battery which makes it a little heavier but well worth it. I play table tennis so viewing the video immediately with the projector is great. Instant feed back makes for better learning. I wish I had had this camcorder when I was coaching basketball and baseball. Touch screen menu and settings are straight forward. After a few trial and errors I was able to do what I wanted without reading the manual.
Summary: Bought as my B camera for live shoots, exceeded all my expectations. The biggest improvement over previous generations of Video Cameras is the Active steady shot, It is amazing, your hand held video shots looks like they were shot using a tripod. Improved image sensors mean shots remain sharp in lower light situations. This is a small form factor video camera and of moderate weight making it easy to hold and operate for extended periods.
Summary: I bought this camera for independent filmmaking, looking for something under or around $1,500. It has great picture, VERY professional and high quality. The sound isn't completely up to snuff, so if you plan to film anything professionally you should purchase an external microphone (there is an attachment o the top of the camera). Overall, I highly recommend it, just with an external microphone.
Summary: This is a great camcorder. The auto mode works great and the manual functions are extremely easy to operate. The "my button" function gives the user additional options with just a couple of taps on the screen. I mainly bought this particular camera because it has an electronic view finder. This option is absolutely necessary for taking great videos and works very well. Finally the "steady shot" with the moving lens is fantastic. .
Summary: I have had this camera for more than a year and have never been able to get the video or Photos to download to my Win7 PC. The Sony software crashes every time I use it. I spent hours talking to Sony support with not solution. They can't fix their own camera! DON'T WASTE YOUR CASH!!!!
Summary: The HDR-CX760V Handycam is one of the best HD camcorders on the market. The one big flaw is its use of slow "high speed" USB 2.0 to transfer data. It takes hours of time to transfer movies from its flash memory into a computer. I wish Sony had equiped this camcorder with either a USB 3.0 or a Firewire 800. Firewire 800 can deliver sequential transfer rate of around 90MB/s, USB 2.0 hovers more around 40MB/s and USB 3.0 averages at 150MB/s.
Summary: I have the HDR-CX700V and this one is head and shoulders above that one. Low light performance has improved dramatically from 2011 model (CX700V). The "Balanced Optical Steadyshot" works like MAGIC! It's like you're shooting everything with a tripod. Wow! I am not exaggerating. That's how steady your shot will be when you use this camcorder. Everything looks very fluid and smooth. Carl Zeiss lense is also better in rendering colors than G lens in my opinion.
