Summary: This camcorder is amazing for it's size and the picture quality is great. It has a wide variety of options you may want. One option my kids really like is the "highlights" feature which takes clips of movies you've taken and set it to music.
Summary: Most noticeable the camera has no mechanical buttons around the display. Other than a half dozen buttons for 'record', 'zoom', etc, all input is with soft buttons on the LCD panel. Easy to use, odd getting distortion when pressing the display.
Summary: I bought this camera last night and am so impressed with it I wanted to post an initial review ASAP since the camera is so new and there are so few reviews out there for it. To begin, I am new into the HD video, but am a techie and have done a lot of research.
Summary: This is my third HD AVCHD Flash memory camcorder I have owned in the last two years and am very pleased with it. While this unit's video is not quite as crisp and vivid in color/clarity as the Canon and Panasonic units (95% as good), it more than makes up for it in image stabilization and low light...
Summary: This camera has better low light performance compared to any of the Canon's (HFS10 etc), and it has amazing image stabilization. We've used it for a month now, and are happy with it. Perfect choice for a family 1080P camcorder.
Summary: I love this new camcorder. Easy to use and the low light footage is excellent. I film my kids inside more than outside so this was a must. The night vision option is fun and really does work. I like the compact size and the built in HD too. Less moving parts.
Summary: This camera is just GREAT! Even for low light situations (when the image quality decreases noticeably). PROS: - Superb image quality a wide range of light situations - Takes awesome photos at 12M (I mean, it's not about the megapixels, but the QUALITY of the pictures) - Face index is great - Full of...
Summary: Just received the CX500v today; here's my first impressions: Pros: Performs much better than the Canon HF200 & HFS100 I tried earlier. Low light video indoors and out look very true to actual lighting and colors without the noise or grain I saw in the other cameras.
