It works well for recording something like a track race

D. Weida, Amazon
22 December 2014
  • Summary: It works well when you have a steady hand, but it falls out of focus if you're moving much. It works well for recording something like a track race, but not so well if you are in motion when recording.

((( THE FISHBOWL EFFECT )))

Zephram, Amazon
9 April 2014
  • Summary: UPDATED NEXT DAY: In all fairness, I did a substantial test of this camera before I put it aside for a while. The only time you really notice the "fishbowl effect" is when you are filming something and straight lines are at the top, bottom or sides of the central theme of the video; like a piano or...

Warning! Does not come with AC charger

Laura Hazen, Amazon
20 October 2013
  • Summary: Warning! Does not come with AC charger. So far, a good camcorder / camera and user friendly but you have to connect USB to computer to charge - not via AC as that requires an extra purchase.

Works as advertised

Philip Gregory "S/V Solace", Amazon
29 August 2013
  • Summary: Works as advertised is the best I can say. Controls are all software - no built in camera functions besides minimal 30x optical zoom. That means it was cheap to make; a lens, shell, and some IC chips. So, for $200 it's not so much.

hard to work menu items

Ron, Amazon
4 July 2013
  • Summary: the image itself is very good. However the button used to control the menu is very tricky to use. If you have big fingers, forget it. also lacks cable to download content to flash drive. Actually requires two cables.

Decent but definite pros and cons

C. Gunn, Amazon
19 June 2013
  • Summary: After using this camcorder for a few months, I would rate it as simply fair. Pros: It is easily portable, fitting into my front pocket often. It's light and after using it for a bit is easy to learn to keep stable. The picture quality is good in decent lighting conditions.
