Summary: This was a used item and it came looking like new. Takes very good quality vids. Controls are not that intutive but if you read the manual you will have no issues. I needed to purchase a larger memory card and additional batteries. Compact and has good noise reduction technology.
Summary: I love this video camera. It's very easy to use and the videos are very good/high dentition. While shooting video's it also takes photos periodically that you can download to your computer and print off if you would like to. Overall my wife and I are very happy with this camera.
Summary: I have had mine for a little over a year. I do not like recording to the internal memory, I would rather use a memory card. The interface seems like a hassle to me. The camera does poorly in low light and when i say poorly i mean very poorly. my room is well lit but I guess this camera has some kind of "indoors filter" in it that produces poor results when recording indoors. When recording outdoors, this camcorder shines. I love it even with it's downsides.
Well worth $150 or less. Great pocket camera for 1080p videos.

Summary: I prefer the XR160 more & better, but the CX160 is a nice second (allowing SD Card use & storage, and transfers to your computer... vs the addition of the hard drive the XR160 has). Works well in low light, good IS ability, and reasonable stereo recording. Wouldn't waste money on this as a still camera. IT IS A VIDEO CAM!
