Summary: Very compact and lightweight. Video quality is what you'd expect from Sony. I particularly like the slow record mode which records for a few seconds prior to pressing the rec button. So get someone to click record after your golf swing and its all captured. Build qualityis great...
Pros: Excellent slo mo mode for recording golf swing etc
Summary: Great camcorder with brilliant quality but a few things to watch out for. If you own a mac, you either need to purchase an avchd unwrapper or converter or you will not be able to play the video on quicktime, itunes. If you use imovie it can still be done, but the quality is slightly worsened. If they managed to merge H.264 with avchd, you would be able to get much more freedom.
Summary: A great little camcorder for the price. Menu functions via the touch screen is a little bit fiddlely, but I don't intend to be changing options that often so more than happy to live with that. Supplied battery seems very good, but I will be looking at getting a spare. The image stabliser is ok, but have seen better - but that comes with a greater price tag.
Summary: lovely little cam great for what we want it for not sure what the best sdhc card to get for it is though? bit disappointed thers no case or sd card with it although saying that we got it less than half the rrp =) would definitly recommend would of give it 5* if there had of been a sdhc card and a basic case with it fast delivery =)
Excerpt: Having just had our first child I wanted to catch everyone like any proud dad would so I wanted to purchase a camcorder, looking around the choice is astounding the range and functionality is astounding as well as the price range. Due to these facts I figured you have to do your homework on these to get exactly what you want, My needs were in fact basic, a good crisp home video that i can upload to my pc , copy to dvd and save on hard drives via the usb cable supplied.
Pros: style, price, pictures and videos, HD quality
Cons: A bit light feels a bit like can damage easily
Excerpt: I bought camcorder Sony HDR CX115 more than three months ago. First impression was fantastic: lightweight, small, picture qality in daytime is almost excellent, active steadyshot is also nice. But after few months of using it I had noticed that picture quality in low light is average, autofocus not very fast (mostly in low light), poor auto focusing on the sides of picture, no possibility to connect anything external - no mic.
Pros: lightweight, small, picture qality in daytime, active steadyshot
Cons: picture quality in low light, slow autofocus (low light), poor autofocusing on picture sides
Summary: Really like this camcorder. Picture quality of the HD filming is excellent. Easy to use, lightweight. The only issue I have is that the software for downloading and editing the films is hard to work out and not very user friendly.
Summary: Very impressed on the quality and the features it has for the money paid. I absolutely love it and it doesn't seem much bigger than my digital camera. I went on holiday recently and I didn't feel the need to take my camera as you can take photos anyway. If I had one bad thing to say and that is you have to remember to open and close the shutter. Not so bad remembering to open but you could put it away with the shutter left unclosed and could damage the lens.
