Excerpt: Bought this camera to take underwater salmon pictures and to mount to my quadcopter for aerial shots. Works great for the aerials, much detail and stabilization works fine. However, the housing is 'waterproof', not 'underwater' so the camera is useless underwater as the pictures are blurry. I am awaiting an underwater housing from B and H to get the shots I need. Usual Sony quality.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Good Menu System, Lightweight
Excerpt: I found linking the camera and remote a very clunky endeavor. Trying to cycle through set up was extremely difficult. In this day and age of smart phones and gadgets, I felt I was in back in the 90s. My main purpose for purchasing was to do time lapse movies. I was very disappointed to find out that SONY does not have software to view the time lapse images! On there message board, there was actually the recommendation to download GoPro software to view their movies!
Excerpt: I like it because it is slimmer than 'the other' popular action cam. It has more features for less money, the options menu is more intuitive, and the quality is great. I do like the wifi and hooking it up to hand held devices I have to see and control the action in HD is great.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Highly Compatible, Less Expensive, Lightweight, Produces High Quality Film
Excerpt: What can I say? This thing is a beast. I love the bullet design, intuitive functions, picture quality and it's steady cam system. I've attached it to my car, skateboard, kayak, guns, and much more. I have the GoPro 3+ Black and I'd say without a doubt this is my preferred action cam. Low light quality is better, universal mounting system is easier to use, it's splash-proof without the housing, and much more.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Highly Compatible, Lightweight, Produces High Quality Film
Excerpt: Overall, this is a great camera. It records fantastic video at 1080p. The 60 fps was gorgeous and sound was pretty good. My biggest issue with the camera has to be the fisheye lens. It warps everything on the side. I know this is what I should have expected but it was too much for me. I am looking into a newer go-pro to avoid this problem.
Pros: Comes With Waterproof Hou, Durable, Lightweight, Produces High Quality Film
Cons: Complicated Controls, Only 15 Ft Of Waterproof, Poor Interface
Excerpt: Having done a multi camera shoot with the AS15, I can without a doubt say the image quality out of the AS100V is substantially improved. While the color of the image (especially blues) is a bit more 'enhanced' than I like (in comparison to the GoPro Hero3+), I'm noticing substantially less overly enhanced skies giving an unnatural and occasionally green tinged appearance.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Produces High Quality Film, Really Easy To Use, Stable Image
