Excerpt: The Sony DCR-TRV270 is what i would call a somewhat sub-par camera, it costs more than other cameras in it’s field and it (at least from my perspective) offers much less. First off it’s only got 0.5mp rather than the more frequently used 0.8mp sensor, it still uses Digital8 tapes *rather than MiniDV) which in my point of view are very unconfrotable to use.
Summary: I regularly visit the narrow-gauge steam-operated railways in what was East Germany and having taken more than enough still photos decided I would try my hand at video, something about which I knew almost nothing. I bought this item based on the package deal on offer (camcorder, case, tapes, batteries, CD with editing programme) and because Sony things seem reliable.
Excerpt: "...caught my eye was the Sony Handycam, model number DCR-TRV270E. There were a number of reasons why I chose this particular model; one of which is that Sony is a reputable company and one of the leaders in camera equipment and my other reasons will be identified throughout this review. == Why did I chose this particular model? == I’m somewhat of a novice when it comes to camera equipment and I need something that is fairly straightforward and ...

Excerpt: As my ex-husband decided to remove a large amount of the electrical items from our home during our divorce six years ago, I found myself with absolutely nothing, particularly as they had all been taken without my agreement. One item that I missed the most was our camcorder, particularly as my grandparents were elderly and I wanted to be able to capture every special family moment.
Excerpt: This Is the Best camera for the price. I have had mine for going on 3 1/2 years. it has good picture quality. make sure. you use high 8 tapes. if you connect it to the computer you'll have to hit menu and go down to the settings and hit yes for usb streaming otherwise won't work. the disc that comes with to upload the pictures and videos does not work wll the video portion does but i have to use my disc that came with my printer and it works good.
Excerpt: "It's camera with good filming qualities (good image quality - night or day ) and a reasonable zoom. I enjoy its Easy feature, I think it's safer for the more distracted camera operator and it also simplifies the use. Its transport strap is low-efficient, it should be in the top side of the camera, for a more safe and functional use. And God forbid that you drop it! Pros: Easy to use feature, Night vision
Cons: Too heavy, the transport strap is not practical, tape recording
