Great Condition, Fast Delivery, Works Perfect!!

eaver, Ebay
5 January 2014
  • Summary: I received this all the way from Alaska in 2 or 3 days. Fantastic. Keep in mind with my review that this camera is Obsolete. It is standard definition in an HD world. However, I needed it to put Video-8, High-8, and Digital-8 tapes on DVD and it is perfect for that. It also looked brand new, not a scratch on it.

  • Summary: The Handycam works just like I wanted it to. I realy needed it to play back old 8mm's I hade from years ago when my boys were young and into sports. Have used it very little at this point but hope to use a lot more this summer when sailing. I'm sure it will perform well.

  • Summary: This is a great little camcorder. It is great for video tranfer to DVD because we can play 8mm, Hi-8, and Digital 8 tapes from it. It has the S-Video out port so we can send out at Y/C resolution insteaad of just composite. It fits perfectly in my hand, is easy to use, and has great Nightshot capability. Thanks Sony for a great product.

  • Summary: I bought it primarily because I have a bunch of 8mm tapes that I couldn't watch, because my old camcorder died. With this camcorder I was able to transfer all of these tapes to DVD's. it worked great.

  • Summary: This is a great little camcorder. It is great for video tranfer to DVD because we can play 8mm, Hi-8, and Digital 8 tapes from it. It has the S-Video out port so we can send out at Y/C resolution insteaad of just composite. We had purchased this same model in the past and we wanted to acquire duplicate camcorders in order to process our video to DVD transfer services. Thanks Sony for a great product. J.H.

Great Camera

  • Summary: It was even better than I thought it would be. We took it on a trip with us and it was so much easier to use than our digital camera! We bought it so we can actually have live footage of our kids before they were all grown up.

Purchasing from Ebay.

  • Summary: I had a Sony Handycam DCR TRV240 previously, but dropped it in an effort to grab and protect it from my grandson. It was severely damaged,so I had been looking for the exact camera for about a year.To my delight,I saw the exact model on Ebay,so I purchased it.It has all the features I enjoyed and it is the perfect size for my hand to operate.I purchased a new Samsung, but it too small and difficult to hold and operate.I have nothing negative to say about the Sony Handycam.

Sony TRV240

6 May 2007
  • Summary: I bought this camera and one other of the same model to use in my occupation. I like this camera due to the fact that it is bi-directional. I am an investigator and can use a covert camera plugged into this model. It works well for me. I will seek others if needed.

Nice Unit for recovering Hi8/8mm and more !

vdrums4him, Ebay
4 January 2007
  • Summary: The primary reason I purchased the TRV240 was to aid in recovering my collection of Hi8 - 8mm tapes. I had planned to use my Sony FX710 which I purchased back in 1992, but it gave out(don't think it owes my a dime).I found the TRV240 very capable of handling this task.I also use a Sony TRV33 MiniDV and my only rub with both of these units(which I knew going in)is the need to flip the camera over to exchange tapes.
