Good video quality but very poor still picture quality

Summary: It is a good camcorder for video shooting with good zooming capability but still picture quality is really very poor. It is too blur and judder. Still picture quality is even not marginally acceptable after editing. Also flash light is not useful at dark at all.
Summary: There are (2) specific problems I have with the Sony DCR-SX45: the first one is endemic to all LCD screens, glare, you simply cannot see what you are shooting, the second is that the strap actually interfers with holding the camcorder, it is obstusive, difficult to manipulate the controls on the top...
Summary: First off the camera is HQ (high-quality) not HD (high-definition) so it's quite a bit less mega-pixels than I originally thought. For something that is supposed to be a newer model it isn't any better than the previous ones in this line.
Summary: I've been disappointed with the quality of the picture. My flip camera quality is much better. It's rather complicated to figure out how to use the camera with a Mac. The format is not a standard format so it makes it hard to transfer.
Summary: This is NOT SONY quality! I remember my first SONY camcorder that I bought many years ago would produce the most vibrant colors and record great (SURPRISINGLY GREAT) video in low light. This Cam doesn't come close. Great price. Very light and comfortable to hold.
Summary: This is decent, no more than that, but for the price you can pick this handy cam up for now, that's probably all you an reasonably expect for your money. The image quality when playing back through a tv (42 inches) is fine but no where near what I'm used to with the HD and blu ray world.
Summary: I thought this would be a good replacement for my old mini DV Sony Handycam, but the quality does not appear be as good. My old handycam is no longer reliable and doesn't work properly any more, but had been an excellent reliable camcorder recording many holidays and special occasions, so I expected...
