Summary: I probably would have liked the product if the correct item were shipped to me. It was The DCR-SX50 model that I recieved and the item was listed as a DCR-SX60. Too much confusion in this sellers listings of products. It also came with Spanish on the item itself.
Summary: Loved this camera EXCEPT for this one simple problem: we've owned the camera for 3 years and 8 months now and have already been through 2 LCD screens. The "warranty" is 12 months so of course 14 months after purchasing the camera the touchscreen quit working.
Summary: We got this camera Christmas of 2010. I wanted a camera to be able to shoot home family movies and stuff like that. We didnt end up using it as much as I would have liked, but I did really like it when it worked. Very easy to use, very compact and easy to take places.
Summary: When I first bought this camera I thought it was neat because we were outside alot in the summer. It takes ok pictures outside with good lighting, and the zoom and video was awesome. Unfortionatly the picture really sucks.
Summary: The videos are pretty decent videos, ease of use is good. I recently took this camera on vacation as both my video and still camera. The videos are decent, but the stills are just unacceptably poor. I mean very poor. Faces washed out, resolution very poor, totally unacceptable.
Great overall package killed by poor video quality

Summary: Our 1995 Sony camcorder finally bit the dust so it was time for a new one. We only use the camcorder for personal use so we were looking for another basic, easy-to-use camcorder in the $250 range. After spending some time researching camcorders the Sony DCR-SX44 camcorder seemed like a perfect fit.
Summary: I've used Sony products for years and this is the first time I had to return one. This camera was very disappointing. I shot video at the highest quality level and it was still fuzzy and the audio was out of synch when I downloaded it into my computer.
