Doesn't Record in HD but Still a Sufficient Camcorder
23 May 2014
Summary: Got a blue version from a friend of mine who moved up to a full HD camcorder. My wife was wanting something to use to record videos with that would replace the old DV cassette Handycam she had.. I added a 16gb SanDisc card to it along with another battery so she can record a lot of video on it. Fairly simple to use and changing the settings in the Menu.
Summary: I probably would have liked the product if the correct item were shipped to me. It was The DCR-SX50 model that I recieved and the item was listed as a DCR-SX60. Too much confusion in this sellers listings of products. It also came with Spanish on the item itself. I could not figure out how to switch the language. I respectfully sent this item back.
Summary: I bought this used as a Warehouse Deal and was surprised to see it had never been used before, so it came in like new condition except without any instructions or original packaging. Compared with the HD video you can capture with other cameras, this is not comparable; this shoots in Standard Definition at 720 x 480 pixels, which is "good enough" for personal use and maybe for projects that you are wanting to look pre-High-Definition.
