Excerpt: It would have been great if the package came with other accessories. And one more thing also, when I tried to plug it on a old model Sony TV, no picture or sounds came out. But when I tried it on a newer version or on LCD flatscreen TV, it was playing and the sounds were very clear, the colors are vibrant and I absolutely love it. I really need to master the art of recording without my hands shaking though.
Summary: Very sensitive just a slight hit broke down something inside and all the recordings have annoying noise. At the 60x zoom the picture is shaking so much hard to see what is the recording about. And without any zooming the pic quality also bad.
Summary: Bought this camera used like new for £55 including postage. My only gripe is no record indicator light which would be of great benefit in bright sunshine. Otherwise it is superb, the picture quality is clear and i was able to read the writing on a holiday postcard. The zoom is fantastic! Worth up to £150 but not above due to absent indicator light.
Summary: This was bought because of its size, and to replace an older Sony digital tape camcorder. Everything about it is fine, except that the colour on the film it produces is very poor (in all filming conditions); and so the old tape version is back in business.
Summary: The delivery and packing was excellent, Camera and instructions dead easy to follow and video taken on holiday were great and easy to use, the burning to disc cannot be easyer and the method is well instructed in the neat handbook. great still pictures and fun to use due to the cameras size,so much so that another one was purchased as a present which again arrived very quickly, the company should be proud of their service
Summary: As another reviewer says this is a tiny camcorder. It's only slightly bigger than the Cybershot. However, anyone with large hands is going to struggle with this little thing. I have tiny hands (the strap is if anything a bit big for me, even adjusted down to the smallest size). The Carl Zeiss lens is impressive; however, colour handling is dull when shooting indoors in poorer light - which is what you'd expect.
Excerpt: "...and just bought this Sony. Sony are always a good name in my opinion and I ahve a little Sony digital camera that has done me well over the years so I went for that one, plus it was on sale for approximately £200 so deal done. Well, I was pleased I bought it and have been very happy with the useage and results so far. The handycam is very lightweight and fits nicely into your hand. There is a strap that extends basically all the way across the camera ...
Summary: I didn't buy my SX33 from Amazon but as I find the reviews very useful on here I thought i'd add my findings too... I bought a high end standard definition Sony DV Camcorder back in 1999 and though the picture quality is very good it's now a bit bulky and I have to dump the tape content onto a DVD recorder before I can get it onto my laptop for editing (as it doesn't have firewire) so I was looking for something small and very portable that uses flash memory that I could...
Summary: Brilliant and easy to use, whether its short films or holidays this camera is perfect. Its got great battery life, small, light, easy to edit its just the job. Memory card is the best option, no moving parts, no noise easy to record, buy one!
