Excerpt: Sony Handycam DCR SR72E Place of purchase Comet Electrical store, One Stop shopping Centre, Birmingham my first camcorder First of all I brought the camcorder to take on holiday to Egypt, Ive never had a camcorder before so I was weary of how to use them, however I wanted one that was easy to use...
Pros: Light weight, Small (about the same size as a half pint glass), Editing software included
Cons: Cost, one of the most expensive camcorders on the market in its range
Summary: Ordered the camera on Sunday arrived at my home on Tuesday. Easy to order and good service from Amazon. Have taken some videos and photos and plyed them back on TV. They are good quality and setup is very easy.
Summary: In short. Big hard drive nice features sony quality never let me down picture quality as good as other camera formats ( tape, dvd etc) easy to drag and drop files off the camera to edit or playback on your pc!
Summary: I'd been playing with the idea of getting a camcorder for quite some time so I did allot of research into what to look for and which brands offered what and so I settled on the Sony, it's the best all round and I've owned a wide variety of Sony stuff in my lifetime and they all are top build...
Summary: We have had many problems with this cam. The videofiles are DVD-quality (25% of DV-quality) and cannot be edited on a mac. Video is striped all-over, so mainly unusable. Autofocus is working badly in lesser light and not working at all when zoomed. Startuptime is long.
Summary: Just go for it! The camcorder is absolutly brilliant, the interface is so easy to use anyone can just pick it up and use it like a pro. Importing footage from the camcorder is a breeze, although at the time of writing the camcorder is not vista compatible so i used an xp machine.
Summary: I'm very pleased with this camcorder, which I've now had for a couple of weeks. However, here are a couple of bits of feedback: 1) The manual is not very helpful when it comes to connecting to your computer and installing the software.
