I just bought this camera and it is awesome. It comes with a plug to be easily plugged into your tv to watch your videos. The night shot (the reason i bought the camera) is pretty good, and will help for ghost hunting. And for me there is only one flaw, which is the focusing (which is completely normal) were it gets blurry for a few seconds, nothing that would make me think about getting a different one. If your buying a camera/camcorder, chose Sony. Read more

One slight con for me is the performance of the "zoom mic" feature. It does in fact amplify sound from whatever you're zoomed in on, but when you zoom back out, it cuts the entire volume down. I experienced this in shooting a jazz band concert. Read more

When my miniDV tape camcorder finally died, I knew that I would be getting a hard drive based camcorder, but I didn't know it would be so hard to pick the right one out, so I did a lot of research and finally chose the Sony Handycam DCR SR220. My biggest concern with this model was that I didn't think the 15x optical zoom would be enough. Read more

    • Above average video quality and really good photo quality. Very easy to use.
    • Not the camcorder with the biggest optical zoom, but the smart digital zoom makes up for that.
  5. Good for the basic usage
