DCR-SR200 has a 2.1-megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor that provides clear images and video sequences. It uses high-quality Carl Zeiss lenses for improved contrast that provides vivid photos with real-life colors and tones. It’s 10x optical zoom and 80x digital zoom brings far-way subjects closer without distorting its resolution. It also has a recording rate of 240 frames-per-second for every 3 seconds. Sony also equipped the DCR-SR200 with its advanced Super SteadyShot picture stabilization system which eliminates higher range of camera shake and vibration frequencies to achieve image smoothness.
