Easy Camcorder
7 December 2004
  • Excerpt: Sony’s DCR-PC350 is the company’s most expensive matchbook camcorder from 2004. It’s a good camcorder, especially for a matchbook, and it definitely beats the socks off of Canon’s high end Optura 400 and Optura 500. While the Opturas may take the cake in the manual control department, as they offer manual audio control and true shutter adjustment, the DCR-PC350 offers superior performance in low light environments as well as some other amenities for the matchbook user.
  • Pros: - Cineframe 24 mode (as a nice gimmick, nothing more), - Low light and video performance, - 16:9 mode, - mic input, ports, - Spot focus/metering
  • Cons: - Optical zoom / digital zooms are low, - No true shutte speed, - Handling is mediocre with touch screen

  • Conclusion: Très compact, voire trop, ce caméscope du constructeur nippon tire parfaitement parti de sa résolution de trois mégapixels. Il produit en effet d’excellentes images, fixes ou animées, y compris dans l’obscurité.
