Excellent camera, perfect for what I bought it for
10 July 2008
Summary: This is an excellent camera, very easy to use and operate. Also very easy to play back once having recorded what you want. We purchased this camera for skydiving videos, as well as for use in the wind tunnel, and we already have some great footage. Highly recommend this camera.
Summary: I had lost my sony handycam and was missing it terribly. i was so use to all of its features. didn't want to start learning anything new. theres just to much to learn... i still do not know how to use all of my cell phone features. anywayj everything cam fast, complete and in its box. thank you, very happy.
Summary: PC330 is a very easy Handling, Quick responsive controls. It takes great stills and Video. Sometimes has difficult time focusing in very low light, But with manual manipulation of the large focus ring easily corrects it. Very well made, Excellent fit of parts, no side to side play or loose doors. Included software is very good. Not the normal junk stuff. I use it as my default instead of the AV Software I paid for $40.00 for. Very easy to use.
Summary: A palm-sized camera that almost shoots as well as the low-end 3-CCD cameras, made by a reputable name (Sony), and a price under $1400? Yes, Sony has done it. Exterior - With the vertical orientation of the body and the smaller thickness, this camera will fit well in your palm. The main controls are positioned comfortably where your fingers will most naturally fall. The design allows for basic operation without jostling the camera.
Summary: This was my first-ever camcorder purchase, so I wanted to make sure the camera was a solid performer. The other two candidates were the Panasonic DV953 and the Sony TRV950. To help me choose, I took a crash-course in MiniDV cams (by reading the reviews) and found that most of them kept harping on things that I didn't care about. Things like bottom-loading the tapes vs top-loading; Single CCD vs 3 CCD; the number of shutter speeds.
Summary: Being somebody who has owned many professional and semi professional camcorders including the Canon XM1,XM2,XL1S,SonyVX2100 and TRV950, this little upright sony pc330 was an addition. I can honestly say this, yes it is very useful for stills (3MP) but not really a replacement for a good stills cam, but I never purchased it for stills but they are very acceptable! The video footage is stunning!
Excerpt: "The Camera is a a very convenient size, large enough to be able to get a firm grip and small enough to be easily portable. I was pleasantly surprised with Picture quality, clear, sharp with superb definition. The still pictures were of very high quality and very simple to use. The fact that you can take video and still pictures at the same time is a nifty function. The Settings menu is a little clumsy but much improved to sony's previous menus. ...
Pros: Simple to use, fantastic picture quality .
Cons: A limited number of accessories at this time
Summary: Now before I say this, you get exactly the things advertised when you buy this camcorder. You have, however, just parted with more than a thousand of your hard-earned pounds (even at Amazon's price) and it stings a little to find: No case, no carry strap, NOT EVEN ONE miniDV tape, no firewire cable, a battery which only lasts 60 mins and (and bear in mind here that this is a 3.3 MP camera) a 16 (yep sixteen) Mb Memory stick - not a lot of use! Grumble over.
Summary: From the moment you open the box this Sony oozes quality.Although small it feels sufficiently weighty and the controls all seem to have been positioned especially for your own hand. 3 megapixel ccd means excellent quality for both movies and stills, you can sell your stills camera and put the money towards this beauty.Every feature you could want is here but most important are, true widescreen, superb nightshots and plenty of manual controls for the enthusiast.Just buy it!
Summary: Although this is a palmcorder, it is a little bulky and can be a bit difficult to hold, but thats the pay off for being crammed full of gadgets. The picture quality is excellent, far better than I expected, I would say better than VHSC or 8mm analogue. I thought the night vision would be a bit of a gimmick, but, it is actually very good. It works in complete darkness using an onboard infra red light to illuminate the scene.
