Regular

Carlos500, Amazon
27 June 2007

Mine Died a Little After a Year

krystin_p, epinions.com
17 January 2007
  • Summary: Don't buy camcorder that requires use of touch screen as only way of viewing tape in camcorder. There should be another system in case touch screen fails as mine did.
  • Pros: Good sound, nice picture, easy to use
  • Cons: Touch screen stopped working. It's the only way to rewind, fast forward or play tape.

Sony DCR HC90 Rocks

newdaddy46, Ebay
3 October 2006
  • Summary: We love this camcorder. Clear crisp video, easy to operate, compact and takes great low light level video. The ability to take still photos with the memory card is an added bonus. The only draw back we have found is the battery that comes with it, the 50 series, doesn't have a very long record time. We purchased a 70 series battery and were much happier. This is one of the trade offs for a really compact camcorder. Overall this is a fine camera with that one exception.

Buy Sony products at your own risk

Kenny O., Amazon
14 January 2006
  • Summary: As an owner of the Sony DCR-HC30 model DV Handicam, I want to warn everyone about my horrible experience with this product line. Design and feature-wise, these Handicams are great. The problem is, they are built like junk. From the day I opened my box, I got a message that told me that the heads were dirty and needed to be cleaned. In retrospect, I should have returned it for a replacement then and there.

Excellent crisp picture

a.beta "beta", Amazon
14 December 2005
  • Summary: after six months of use it's one of the best handycam i ever tried, you just need to get an extra battery and of course a touch screen protector. update: Now it's almost 18 month with this handycam, i love it, its simple so my kids can use it with the easy button and for the professional you still can go deeper in the setting and set it. it worth every penny i paid for it.
