Summary: This is a great camera. The overall quality is great for a small and simple Handycam. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was the LCD touch screen. It responds to touch perfectly fine but it goes from normal color to blue a lot. In other words it flickers between normal and blue.
Summary: I haven't really used the camera yet. The batteries are not keeping a charge but the camera will serve it's purpose and that is to transfer my tapes to DVD. I had to purchase a cord because it didn't come with one.
Good video quility, but broke after 10 hours of use
28 December 2006
Summary: Positive -handy, portible, long lasting battery, very good video quality Negative - relability. Lense doesnt show any image - I recorded less than 8 tapes on it. Search this model on ebay - half of the broken ones have that issue.
Summary: Camera is light weight and has plenty of functions, however, the softward to burn the tape to CDR or edit the tape is terrible. Basically, I can only hook up the camera to the TV to watch the video.
Summary: I bought this camcorder based on the high rating on this site and Circuitcity ratings and it's on the way back to the store after two days trial. I want a good simple Cam to tape my baby and HC20 got my attention due to price, Sony brand, sony famous lowlight performance, digital transfer and...
Summary: Well the camcorder is aesthetically pleasing, but the software is just plain horrible. My boyfried is a computer wiz and couldn't figure it out. We had to install it three times before it even loaded all the components.
