The best thing is its sound quality and the worse is unspport Card 4 movie
1 June 2012
Summary: At this age of technology it is little bit old device, Still images can save only in memory card, while movie in only DVD. The sound quality is of course very good as sony promises always. Zoom, lens, touchscreen and other features are good. This is handy and compact and easy to use outdoor shooting too. I bought this by assuming that the movie can store in pro duo card, but very disappointed. Still image quality is very nice.
Summary: This is my first video camera. I am far from being an expert but it does every thing I need it to do with no buts. Very handy size. I put the disks directly into my DVD player and watch them. Also copy them onto normal sized DVDs on my PC with no problems. I have not thought of getting another camera because this one does it all for me.
"Movie Recording Disabled" Problem Causes Loss of Video Constantly
Matt Payne, Amazon
29 July 2009
Summary: After about six months, the Sony DCR-DVD308 would begin to not recognize some brand new discs. Then, on discs it did recognize, it would start to show an error message that says "Movie Recording Disabled" after you've recorded on the disc. Once this happens, you have lost all the recorded video on the disc, and the camera no longer recognizes the disc. This happens now about 75% of the time.
